Rav
Hi all. My car has 18" Sport Design alloy wheels - 2 piece which have corroded. I bought a set of replacements from this very site and notice that they have a painted rim. What should the original wheel look like? I wonder if i am better of selling the refurbished set and using the funds to get mine back to original. All help appreciated.
Lonewolfgjp
Hi Rav The oem finish is the diamond cut lip but practically the painted edge is far more hard wearing as the diamond cut rims tend to rot big time. The choice is yours, as long as the refurbishment is good and the painted edge has been done to a high standard I would stick with the painted ones? Nickyg63
Hi, i could be interested in the rims, if you sell? I think i prefer the painted rim. I could part ex my same wheels in need of a refurb, that way you have a spare set? cheers Nick
