VicarBond
Whilst vacuuming the leaves, feathers, stones and other detritus out of my front bumper intakes, I found this! I guess that’s part of the reason my air con doesn’t work on my new to me 986 S..!! ?
golfprorich
I'd imagine it's the lack of refrigerant
topradio
I don't think that I've ever seen one that's disintegrated as badly as that!

VicarBond
The rest of the condenser was where it should be! Ordered new ones today from Coolpartsuk on eBay. ??
Boxey11
@VicarBond I am interested to know how you get on with fitting them. I have a couple of questions - are you planning on changing the drier as well and how long has your A/C been out of action?

Davehods
Aircon has been a constant pain...new condensers and new pipes and it still leaks. Even with the dye added there is no obvious leak

I’m unsure how long it’s been out of action, the seller said he had it running for a day just over a minute both ago when he had it regassed, then it stopped cooling overnight when it sat on his driveway. I’ll update you with how the fitting goes. The garage I’m using don’t have an air on machine as they stopped doing it a while ago, but he’s ordered a new one in and will be using my car as the first one on it once it’s installed. I’ll try and get pics as it gets done.
