dunks
I'm starting a little project and need to disconnect the battery , but on watching a youtube video made by an american, He stipulates you must have the key in the ignition and in the Accessory position before you disconnect the battery as it protects the Alarm system, anyone else heard of this or any thoughts
golfprorich
Yes leave in position one otherwise your ears will be protesting as the alarm starts going 😑

PaulQ
You can turn the ignition off again, but don't remove the key.

Many make this rookie error, but usually just the once before posting a variation of this question on here....

½cwt
Open it with the key blade only in the lock and don't put it in the ignition after opening the door. You'll soon know if the alarm works....
