I had a mk1 1.3gl Fiesta then a later mk2 XR2, when I had the mk1 I knew someone who had the Supersport, always dreamed of one of them :)

My second car was a Supersport (first car Fiesta 1.1L)... thank you dad 😬

Ditto - I rolled my first car - Austin Mini (not my fault - long story) and dad bought me a X reg Fiesta Supersport in Stratos Silver. I loved it.

Its what someone will pay for it? Some have gone for less , some more , only needs one buyer to say ill have that.

Hence why I said 'fair price' and not 'what's it worth'.

It has rolled over in auctions at least twice that I KNOW OFF so no sign of that buyer and things are trickier now than they were a few months ago.

I’m also in the market for an 80s hot hatch. I’ve bid on a couple of series 1 RS Turbos and 205 Gtis. The XR2 is also on my radar but in Mark 1 guise. I owned a super sport in my youth so fancy one as a left field option.
the one here looks amazing but for a mk2 seems very heavy as mk1s go for that.
Id say 10-12 would be fairer but in this market who knows. I’ve held back buying a RS last month in case the market drops

Let's be honest more than half the fun is in the chase :)

I was thinking £10k was more like the thing but would need someone to take a squint at it to make sure its collar matches its cuffs so to speak.

Wish I had kept some of my cars.  Sold my mint low mileage Honda Integra Type R (UK Version) - 4 year old with 18K miles for £8,000 and my Peugeot 205Gti 1.9 again silly cheap  money and sierra Cosworth.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I have no desire for another 205 1.9 Gti despite owning an 89 minter back in 1991, wifey and I had far more fun (in every sense of the word) in the XR2 than we ever did in the 205.

But everyone to their own :)

lol i actually see that aswell.   Also some guys on a 80s facebook page mentioning it,  with that mileage id say about 12/13k.   I use to have a 5 GT turbo and a series 2 escort back in the day and really wanted the Astra GTE MK2.

I detailed a Pug  while back for the owner and hes entered it into shows, after i finished it i was showering compliments on it he let me take it for a spin,   wow the memories of being 19/20 again with your mates in little hot hatches.

All these cars are decent investments if you have room.

Funny you should mention a 80's HotHatch, I have been avidly watching this as I had one very similar back in the day;

What do you think a fair price for that would be 🤔

There’s a C reg one with 40k miles on eBay that looks immaculate at £1k lower.

We know when the new MINI was first released, it was very VERY popular here as a driver's car.

An old friend of mine, who I'd taken out in my 205GTi, got one of those Mini's, a not particularly hot version, and he said how much it reminded him of my 205.

On the subject of investments... I don’t suppose if anyone is selling or knows who’s selling a Ducati 916,996, 998?

Theres 10 x 916's - 9  x 996's & 3 x 998's on Autotrader.

Looked on there. Was wondering if anyone knew anyone who may want to sell - long shot but worth an ask
