MikeWhite
My 987 cup holder has lost the dampening when it is initially released. On investigation I discovered that a tiny plastic cog had broken. I was not able to find any spare parts available from Porsche and even used cup holders are very expensive. After some research I found someone in the USA that has manufactured a replacement cog. it fitted perfectly and was very easy to replace. $22 for a pair plus $3 postage, arrived within a week. full instructions supplied see eBay item 223927894291
Araf
Have these just been 3D printed? How long did it take to arrive?
MikeWhite
Took about a week to arrive This is what at the seller shared with me.. My original goal was just to fix my own cup holder, but once I came up with a solution, I thought maybe it could help some other people as well. It took me quite a bit of time and materials to finally come up with something that worked, so if I can recover some of my costs by selling the gears to other people, that's a nice bonus. I only used one of the new cogs so if so if someone needs only one we could split the cost and I will pop it in the post. that would be £9 I’m not sure how it was made looks too small and intricate for a 3D printer but I’m not expert All I can say is that it works a treat.
