Yes, with my manuals in the past I have rocked life back into components...

Couple of years ago at Le Mans 24 Hours an LMP 2 team had a sticky starter and used the broom stick idea.  They go too smart though and cut a hole on the bodywork to save some time they were losing in pitstops taking the tail section off to start the car and got DQ'd for modifying homologated bodywork...  Gutting after innovating and finishing on the podium.  Goes to prove that the trick works at all levels though.

But FFS don't leave the ignition on when you do it. :woot:
