Thanks

Very different, indeed:

- huge increase in grunt

- slight decrease in pointability,

- massive increase in high-speed stability

-very considerable increase in comfort

- much more focussed

- a completely different experience

- terrible ICE (Becker 23)

All in all, completely worth the money, except for the hifi.

Mine has the CDR23 also which is beyond poor.

I have door speakers which kick out a fair amount of bass, but need to look at upgrading the dash speakers and head unit.

will end up taking it somewhere to be done though, as the talk of fibre optic wiring scares beejeebies out of me, and I don’t know if it uses this or not!!

I'm afraid the CDR23 is a fibre optic unit, as you have the door subwoofers it will be connected to a fibre optic amp in the frunk (and perhaps a CD changer too).

You can buy fibre optic adapters but you are better off ripping the whole lot out and starting again.

If you don't have door speakers you have the basic sound system. I'm not surprised you don't have a good sound.

You can get the door cards with speaker pods.

Porsche spent money developing the drivability then looked down the sofa for ICE. Many suggestions here on how to upgrade. Do you have door speakers?

No door speakers. To be fair, I don't really need subwoofers when I'm listening to Clarrie Grundy...
