Freeman
Driving at speed (sometime did happen after a red light) the car stops pulling. RPM remain steady i.e doesn't drop, engine sound remains the same but it feels as someone hit the brakes. If cruise control is engage then the car disengages it. Any idea? If correct I would expect to see a drop of RPM and hear the engine slowing down, these do not happen.
andygo
Disconnect battery for 10 mins and reconnect. Sorted my odd missing oil check option as per the thread I posted on the subject…
Paul P
Cruise disengages if it thinks you have touched the brake or the clutch. both I believe have two switches one is you have pressed the pedal the other is you have touched the pedal. I would start with contact cleaner or wd40 bath with lots of manual pedal wiggle on the electrics of both.

Freeman
OK, thanks. Seems that you all agree I will try the switches and the battery although I still don't understand why RPM doesn't drop.
Freeman
Just an update. The problem was the cruise control, nothing was found wrong with the throttle/brake switch, also, the problem didn't show again.

(or are you waiting for it to happen again?) Edited August 26, 2021 by iborguk
Freeman
There was an error code, so I disconnected the loom from the stick and sprayed contact cleaner then re-assembled. Now waiting to see if this will happen again, hopefully not 🙏
