Successful PCM swap out

I'd been wishing to upgrade my PCM2 for quote some time but wanted to keep originality. I'd purchase a PCM3 quite some time ago that ended up being stolen by the couriers, thankfully insured but got my money back. Found  chap on eBay recently who upgraded his head unit for an aftermarket and sold me his pristine PCM for £150, with me knowing it was going to cost a few bob to get it updated and coded to work in my car....All done, total success thanks to Nick and NMAutomotive in Guernsey, coded and with apple car play installed too with no issues whosoever.....https://www.flickr.com/photos/193260872@N02

I my opinion, well worth the money spent.

Yeh mines an 09 7.2, and the pcm came from a 2010 car. No change to anything at all dash wise. All i had added was a gps unit for functionality for the nav pcm and a mic for when using CarPlay / siri etc.

My pcm was basic, although had Bose and Bluetooth, so i used to stream via a twelve south air fly unit which was great, but obviously you had to keep it charged. I not keen on aftermarket head units as i wanted original look and to be honest, if the pcm hadn't been going that cheap, maybe i'd not ventured down the route I have. That said, I'm more then happy with what I've ended up with, no loss or functionality at all.....
