technics100
I've updated my running report, but thought I would post here also.. I was driving my 986 (2000 2.7, 96k) today and went to change from 2nd to 3rd and the clutch hit the floor and didn't come back up. I mope'd the car along in gear at idle at approx 10-12 mph until I could get collected. It wasn't giving any signs of going.. so I'm thinking possibly a slave or master cylinder? Although no signs of fluid leaking anywhere.. Car is on 96k and has had a clutch in the past, although a few years back I think.. Any ideas?? First major issue 152 miles into ownership.. oh well. zagamuffin
You can start it in gear and change if you rev match , just junctions are the difficult bit but if you have a free run home you can do it

technics100
Turns out it was the clutch, so a new one has just been fitted.. going to road test and then I'll pick it up at some point..

That was a pretty binary fail, normally you get a little more notice.
Menoporsche
Exactly. My clutch has gone, car just seemed very hesitant pulling away. Sounds more like a hydraulic seal has gone.
technics100
Picked the car up today, saw the old clutch, the lining completely fell off one side.. assuming giving no clutch at all.
