What type of phone ?   If it’s an iPhone then usb a to lightning.  If Samsung /android ( as a guess) usb a to micro usb or newer phones may be usb a to usb c

There should be a flying lead in the glove box with a USB-A socket on the end of it. 

Mine's a '13 plate with satnav and DAB but there are various versions.

P.S. I'm just oop't road from you. 

EDIT: The slot in your pic is for a SIM card to  use the PCM as a car phone.

Or in the armrest?  I run mine from there to a MagSafe phone holder mounted alongside the gear-lever.  Long thread somewhere showing lots of options.
