What screws fix the painted spoiler trim to the actual spoiler mechanism itself?

I hope you guys don’t mind me putting all these topics up. You have all been very useful!

I didn’t seem to have the correct screws, 3No to fit the painted trim. I looked on the PDF and it mentions oval screws. The actual trim is countersunk so not sure what I need.

if anyone has any information or picture of what I need, that would be great.

Have you downloaded the parts cat yet...?

I think what you are looking for is the bits that fix the top painted trim in place.  999 507 499 40 which are black plastic expanding rivets 5.0 x 11.5.  The sort with a hole down the middle that you push a pin into to secure them.

It has been a few months since I took it apart. No wonder I can’t find metal fixings in my ever declining box of fixings!
I am sure I have a load of those plastic ones . I was confused at the non-threaded holes in the spoiler housing itself!

Thanks for that, most useful.

Now I remember, I had to push the center pins through to release the fixings so new ones required! If I haven’t got the right size in stock, I suppose the only place is a Porsche dealership unless you know the size so I can source them elsewhere?

I gave the size with the part number...  look 3 posts up. 👓

Yep, nearly lost one on the inserts when I took my spoiler apart a couple of years ago.

Personally I use Porsche dealer parts depts for this kind of thing and some of them will post small parts. They are often the cheapest too, no middle person, no added charges. YMMV.

Miracles can happen. My garage is absolutely crammed full of stuff, and when I was having a bit of a clear out as I haven’t anything left to do at the moment, I found three little plastic fixings on the edge of a shelf! Result.

Thanks anyhow guys. Will keep in mind small parts by Post from OPC.
