Had the PSE replaced. One side actuator snapped ages ago, and there other side seized as they all do eventually, and I'd been thinking of going Carnewal or something but was always keen on keeping things OEM. Had kept my eye on Design 911 as a potential supplier of a PSE as all OPC's seem to be in a no stock situation, and/or allocating available to warranty replacements (mine isn't under warranty). After speaking to Design911, they said that there could be an update in March, so I kept an eye on this for stock levels. https://www.design911.com/p/sports-exhaust-system-pse-porsche-981-boxster---981c-cayman-cars-with-sports-tail-pipes/
One evening last week it said "in stock" so I pulled the trigger, and it arrived promptly, and I arranged local indy to fit it yesterday. So my lovely BGTS is back to full musical awesomeness, with the button doing the necessary thang.

Gave it a drink of Mobil and a new Filter, checked service records last done at 96.5 k but that was 2022 now at 99.8 K so was due in my book, in how I like to change annually regardless of mileage

I wouldnt really spec it If I had the choice, however for her birthday my wife wanted an a Royal alcantara wheel for her 320 Touring. Had a blue marker. I never noticed it once the wheel was on, so dont worry.
They were originally invented for rally cars who obviously engaged in a lot of wheel twirling. I used to do quite a bit of rallying and always thought that if you needed to line up the steering wheel marker with direction of travel, you had too much time on your hands! Pointless IMHO.

Nah!! Not winning me over it would be like a small stone chip in the screen that just bugs you all the time when driving

Thank you, my budget is around the £10k mark including any jobs I may need to do on the car. This one seemed to be at the top of that budget.
My advice would be to take some one with you in future that knows these vehicles

One thing I don’t want would be the 12 o’clock marker as that would definitely do my bag in when driving… just saying personal choice

That’s nice I’m looking for the mix with perforated leather at 9 to 3 see what that looks like

Going down this route but not sure what style I like most

£150 should get your attitude adjusted or a mini shop at Tescos🤔

Odd as it says coffin arm, lower control arm with ball joint.
Technically they don't have wishbones, but have two control arms one which is commonly referred to as a coffin arm (which I think you have above) and another commonly referred to as a tuning fork, these two together form a wishbone type of structure.
Think I've got all the correct ones ordered for my front, and will worry about the rear once the fronts have arrived and I've got them fitted!
Also got the small matter of an Aux belt, waterpump change and coolant flush and change to deal with next week 🫣
I attached the wrong invoice , having probably fitted 40 or so lower control arms and track control arms over the years never mind drop links lowering springs top mounts I think I’m in a good place to know what is what 😂😂

Just done all mine all round bottom wishbones
from Spyder they didn’t do front and rear control arms so got them from D 911 again there menu was confusing so just rang them and ordered

Interested to know where you sorce the regulator from. I need one for the drivers side but the ones for 2005 cars seem hard to come by without going oem and swallowing the associated cost.
Design 911 ensure you ring them and give reg as I found out on the repair off my pals there are two types , I think Lee paid £95

Well I won’t be posting for a bit , as now My 991 is finally a 981 !!!

The final part to the jigsaw!! NSF front control arm first thing this morning, took it for a run definitely bang on now , Top Tip , if you are doing lower control arms do the tuning forks marriage made in heaven!!!

Cars a 2005 but has the bigger bearing. When I first got it I had it checked, that's how it ended up with a new clutch. I wasn't really worried about the ims.
A significant leak is not normal , misting at most but not a a obvious leak , could be the RMS but more likely the IMS cover plate seal , paint can wait it needs investigation, easier to paint a car than stripping out the gear box just my ten penneth worth

Got mine booked in on Monday. Like you, not anticipating any problems, but I'm off skiing on Friday, so won't have much time to get any issues sorted if it fails... 😂
Well if it does take it with you with that tin roof , turn it upside down will make an excellent sledge !!! 😂

MOT passed no advisory’s, would of been very surprised if it had, but you never know!
-
What haven’t you done today!!
@Chukkieegg attempted to repair his snapped window regulator, got it all stripped out and started replacing, only to find it didn’t fit, who new there were two types for the early 987 , we didn’t…. We do , made car safe to drive …..to be resumed later 😫😂
