  1. Took it in last week local to me to get the software installed via PIWIS , they did it bought could not activate it requires a access code from Porsche ,so did not charge me , phoned OPC wilmslow who want £80 to activate it …. Can live with that , so £120 for column/stalks and £80 to activate it , a bit of a bargain to have cruise control?

  2. If  .. if it’s coil packs on a code reader you will see multiple miss fire errors  if you don’t  a air leak but if it’s around the plenum area  regardless it would run like a bag of shyatee so could be sticking vario cam solenoid

If you need another pair of hands, just say. I can bring my filler foam🙂

Getting to an age now where sometimes, just a hand would make all the difference where 12 months ago no requirement needed ! It’s a bastard when you took everything for granted and him with the syche is now lurking

Getting quite arthritic now so powers are definitely down .. still won’t beat me just a more levelled approach to the outcome !

40 mins this morning made significant improvement, compared to three hours struggling the day previous. Hence reiterate best just walk away sometimes, come back with a fresh head!

What haven’t you done today , replacing rear springs , having a mare of a job , walked away tackle for another day , sometimes when struggling, leave and approach with a fresh head….top tip !

OK, so the Velcro needs a rethink, they fall off too easily.  Relucent to use carpet tape as it will damage the carpet finish.

I had some for my previous 987 and they were a complete unit swop over for likey likey  but with Batman light, not sure where I purchased them from but probably the bay of e

  8. From memory on my old 986 S I did all the mods , manifolds TB 987 air box etc , what I would say not necessarily more powerful but the marginal improvement in torque was noticeable as in it made the delivery more linear with no flat spots certainly around the 4k rpm and upwards

Changing springs out for 10 mm lower , bought of @daz05 just rears to do now but that’s for Saturday, dropped from measurements from wheel arch to floor 22.5 to 22 1/8 just closed that gap down a little , will have for sale front OE standard springs removed from a car that’s done 25k

    My bad 28.5 to 28 1/8

Be prepared to have to buy the long joining sleeve, there isn’t one in the kit and I had to cut mine off due to how it had been fitted and virtually impossible to get to the clamp bolts

In fact get one prior to the job and if you don’t have to use it send it back

Interesting to see how soon these get delivered, I dismissed the idea of fitting PSE due to waiting list and £cost. Planning on installing my Carnewal next weekend, fingers crossed for some good weather!

The gasket between the cats and the connecting pipe to the backbox keeps on leaking, on the second set now and it looks like the last garage knocked out the studs and replaced them with nuts/bolts I suspect they might have got miss-shaped if they were a bit "over enthusiastic" knocking them out. Classic exhaust leak ticking sound and black soot coming from between the flanges/metal gasket.  Has anyone else encountered this? I suspect I might use a bit of Permatex red RTV to make sure it seals when the new Carnewal system goes on soon.

Are you using Elring gaskets? If so consider fitting two
