I tend to stick to Meguire's Ultimate Compound too. Versatile and cheap enough. Worked wonders on both my black Porsches, red Honda, white Vans and various other machinery.

Waved it goodbye to it’s lovely new owner. I’m pleased it has gone to a good home. It was a pleasure dealing with you and meeting yourself and your wife after your long journey down to Somerset. @mark-yorkshire

I’ve proofed the hood a couple of times but don’t bother with it anymore. I feel the roof drying takes longer when proofed.Sorry guys just my honest opinion.Bead porn aside...
As it wont soak in as much, you could probably just use a leaf blower or go on a 2 minute drive to blow it all off before drying the rest of the car.
I tend to do this anyway to clean up the brakes, rotate the wheels so I can clean the tyre section touching the floor and the top of the wheel barrel can become the bottom for ease of cleaning angle.

I smell some bullshido here. It's a twist to a far fetched tale that doesn't quite add up.
There appears to be no documented evidence being provided by the seller, for a car being offered for 40% over it's true value.

Got it back from the ‘ Porsche approved bodyshop AGAIN’
needless to say it needs painting again. For the third time this year...
They must be approved on paper but not in practice. Like a lot of businesses

Popped mine on trickle charge

Put mine back to stock factory spec ready for a viewing next weekend. Sold all the modifications today too. Sad times but onwards and upwards.

Noooooo, why why why...
Because it’s for sale. I sadly just don't get to use it as much as planned and hoped. It’s quite a bit of money tied up in a car I just don't get to enjoy like I’d love to. On top of that, I’ve just incurred a pretty big knee injury so can’t drive for the foreseeable future.

Mine is sat under a cover, washed & prepared ready for a potential buyer.

Balance pipe is like a 1” welded between the pipes that goto the tips. Helps equal out pressure/acoustics of the 2 boxes.

Serviced today, including the PDK oil change, drive home definitely felt more taught - placebo effect I guess 😁

Straight after work I washed and fitted a replacement passenger sun visor (previous one was missing the mirror cover) 😊
My 987 one was missing when I viewed it too. Wonder how or why they go wandering off

I’ve just been looking at in showroom at Bolton OPC whilst waiting to collect some parts😉
Ahh detective!
I would politely/bluntly ask on collection “where have the front grilles gone, they were fitted when I viewed it as they should be now” !
Unless the seller temporarily removed them before sending it into the OPC to avoid questioning over modifications (odd).

I've always thought it was a rather peculiar thing to do for the amount of aggro that must be involved. Probably slightly iffy legally as well if you plan on using on the road.
Ive had decats on 90% of my modified cars over the years tbh. Never had any issues, just the hassle of swapping over for a legit MOT.

That is stunning (for a bmw 😆👍)

Spooky, just had the call to say the car is ready to collect........... the problem was diagnosed as a faulty spark plug from the very recent service
Hopefully I can collect it tomorrow.
Ah, awesome. Simple fix and a bargain buy for taking the risk! They must have heard us talking!

I bet the anticipation and wait is killing you!
-
I’m tempted to fit decat manifolds after my next MOT. But not sure it would actually gain alot other than expense and stress.

Lovely car and sounds like you pushed a good deal!

Being honest, i wouldn’t have even thought to tell the insurer. Surely the risk on the road of accident is as good as zero being parked up. Plus the cover is comprehensive which covers fire & theft too…. So long as it’s parked where you tell them it is overnight usually, I wouldn’t have even thought twice. The world is mad (or money grabbing!)
