Consumed half a tank of fuel going to a cars&coffee breakfast meet at the Haynes motor museum. Was a brilliant morning. Sun was blazing and I took my 2 year old son with me for the ride. He slept all the way back so took a detour down through Taunton and made convoy with a 3.0 z4 and a Nissan 350z, boy do they sound great! A bit sun burnt but all is well. Gave the car a quick wash down this evening and popped it back in the garage.

Looking good!
zorst needs a polish though ?

No wheel rub on full lock? I've got 16mm spacers on the front of mine (with 235mm rubber) and it rubs quite heavily on lock.
Mine rubbed with 235's, normal 225's not so much

@Kooky 1976 @spic love the additions!
@FlybyWyre at least they can't moan that they don't work!
I've not touched my Boxster since Beaulieu. Been garaged cooling off for a week or so.

@Loz987 need some screw cap covers on the front, or stick it on. OCD says the screws are an eye sore. But otherwise cool upgrade.

Brilliant, Jason! You kept that quiet yesterday when Darren posted pictures of his JPS wrap. Had you always intended to do the JPS thing, or did you decide after painting the wheels?
Hope you've had a great day, BTW.
I face palmed when I saw Darren's satin black & JPS wrap yesterday, like I'd held out too long, but I bit my tongue and kept mine quiet. I didn't intend on doing a JPS theme, it was @Menoporsche who gave me the idea when I first posted my gold wheels. I banked the idea when he posted up the JPS Lotus F1 car.
Nobody at Beaulieu was expecting it and a couple of people thought I was @That986 until they saw me and my "JAS 986S" number plates.
I'm not sure if it's temporary or a long term style. Was only meant to be a tongue in cheek laugh for today's show, but it went down really well. It gained a fair amount of photographic attention and a few thumbs up the way home.
@rowbos did look puzzled when I pulled into the convoy meeting point at 6am this morning. Probably not had enough coffee by then

Today I revealed my new dodgy JPS livery at Beaulieu. Lots of positive comments from BoXa member, but didn't hear what the public were saying as they had a good look at it, but hey.

I'm sure you could lend @Sazzy some spacers from your extensive stock to pack out those arches...
Haha, probably ? At work they call me "the tyre man" for my stock pile too.

Space savers are a strong look!
I took a bottle of meguires quick detailer spray and some micro fibre cloths to give it a quick once over when parked up on display.

I've ordered a few bits online that hopefully mr postman has delivered today (a few packages for me to arrive home to tomorrow as working away tonight).
All will be obvious at Beaulieu.

So tempted but I have Artic Silver.
Just do it. Cost me £25. If you don't like them, re-do them silver and sleep easy ?

"Pointless dent removal guy" @Jason986S? That's a bit hurtful!

Paintless dent removal guy had a go on the 986. A whole £20 later and the tiny ding is gone!
Then went for a drive with the change pumped into the fuel tank around the Somerset B-roads.
Then I washed and polished it before putting on it's indoor cover in the garage.
Stopped outside a mid-renovated house, one I nearly went in on buying last year. Which if it wasn't such a wreck I would have! It's like a god damn castle.
Post wash & polish
Wheels cleaned and tyres treated
I also picked up the Mustang (in laws) after a 2 day paint correction and ceramic sealant application. We told Ford not to prep-polish it, but they didn't listen, so it's now spot on thanks to Owain @ Mad About Detailing. Roof is also proofed too with G tecnic.

Didn't realise you had any dinks?
It's only the one, right at the top of the middle of the passenger door. Looks like a golf ball has hit it. I bought the car of "golfer" on here, so VERY possible indeed ? It's only going to cost me £20-30 to get sorted.
.. and yes, my plastic door trims need some treatment, got some plastics gel from Audi to try out

Drove it a bit with my son, all roof down. Took him swimming, McDonalds (parked in the neighbouring Next car park) and went to the park for half hour too.
I got advised by the vaping, beer swilling group of young teenagers on the near by bench, that "Porsches are really cool, but not fast, a Mk2 VW with a super engine is way quicker" ..... ok ?? I just pretended I didn't hear them and steadily drove off into the sunset ?
What have YOU done to your 986 today ?

I went skateboarding yesterday with my kids. I think I actually appreciate what fear and potential injury risk it now. Back then (when I was a teen) I'd try something and worry about it in A&E later.
On a Boxster note, I had a new outside tap fitted this morning, Karcher K2 in the garage ready to test it out later.
