Where did you drive the 'Stang and how was it?
Father in law took delivery of it last week. I was only a passenger sadly (give him a few weeks and a few miles on the clock and he'll let me have a pedal, I'm sure). Went on a country lane blip (roof down) half way to Minehead funnily enough. It sounds Ok, bit quiet. Plastics feel a bit cheap (ford) and wasn't mentally fast, but I think he was being steady - very steady. The track functions and launch control are cool though!
It is a manual and the audio (optional) is amazing!

Drove it. And tried out a 5.0 GT mustang. I'll keep the Box ?

Holy fek but your driveway is HUGE
I share that bit with 2 neighbours, my own but is only 1-2 spaces. Nobody minds. It's been on stands for nearly 3 days now ?

Satin battleship grey, looks awesome no? ?

Made a start on my wheel refurb

Transferred my spare private plate on to the 986S. Temporary 6 digit plate to tide me over until the DVLA put my desired plate to auction. Least it'll be legally spaced now too.
Annoyingly though, the new plates didn't arrive in the mail today ?

So I now have a Foxster.
Hahaha I would have been wailing at it like a loony to get off the bonnet. Not as if there is a hot engine under there to warm him up!

Went for a drive. Checked tyre pressures. Took a few photos.

Had a lot of nice little touches you cant see, a little centre trim on the steering wheel in body colour, seat backs in body colour some nice bits of carbon fibre, normally not my thing, but it was so well thought through it looked impressive to any eye. The guy had owned the car eight years and did the engine rebuild himself. He was about your age J. with a young family too.
Sounds like a top chap, somebody I'd get on with who's not afraid to modernise and customise. If I had another garage space I would buy a beaten 911 shell and build something similar over a many year period.
Anybody seen that YouTube vlogger "Salomondrin" has wrapped his Carrera GT rubystone red to celebrate 100 million video views!

Renovo is a brand that gets bounded around. A re-dye sure seems like the best option to darken it back up permanently. But the stains "may" still show. So I would work on cleaning/blending/hiding those before a full re-dye. I wouldn't pay somebody to do it when comparing that cost to a diy.

Looked at a photo of the car and wish I'd drove it.
Also worried about the longer new wheel bolts I've bought. Bloody @PaulQ and his wisdom!

Looks like the bumper could do with a lick of paint @hs0zfe

Drove it to work and now considering when I'll get round to adding a universal front spoiler (underneath).

I don't run any either. They don't acheive a lot by being there.

I sat on the M6 & M5 for nearly 5 hours this afternoon wishing I was out in the Boxster roof down somewhere actually enjoying the 16'C spring weather.
I did order a jacking pad ready to fit my new spacers and bolts this weekend.

Some cool metal there @Loz987 you're going to have a right gang of breakfast runners soon!

Took my son to Rugby in it. Then on to the skate park, followed by a DIY jetwash on the way home.

I put my old 18x10j's in the boot of my Passat, drove to London but the chap having them was too busy. So in East Sussex sharing my hotel with a pair of 996 Turno twists ?

Just bought a clear middle brake light. Look forward to getting home and fitting it, together with the spoiler.
Make sure you update your progress thread with plenty of pics. I have intentions/plans to do the same (watching the brake light and have the spoiler to be painted in the garage).
What have YOU done to your 986 today ?

Was all twisty tight B-roads. Compliant but flat corning and suspension set-up. I was fairly impressed that the rear diff was quite tight and would skip a wheel on lock, drift spec!
