  1. Mk1 Cortina GT, Rover P6 3500, Capri MK1 3000 GTXLR, Mk2 1600E Cortina, Capri MK1 1600GT, Datsun Sunny 120Y, Marina 1800GT, Escort Mk4 1600, Audi A5 (looked like a boat), Passat GT, Passat 2.0, Golf MK4 GTD, Boxster 986S, and now Boxster 981S.  In between the cars, i've had  a Kawasaki Z650c, Z250, Z750E, and a Harley Sportster 883l.  You cant imagine how i wish i still had any or all of my first 4 cars, especially the Capri 3000 GTXLR

  2. Hi, with winter coming got me thinking about coolant  change frequency. What is the opinion on here of coolant life. Apparently  Porsche say it is good for life of car. Mine is 2013, and never been done i assume.

  3. walking up the drive last night had the obligatory glance at the Box, and had that horrible feeling in my stomach, the windows had condensation on the inside😲.

After a sleepless night i checked inside and sure enough, wet carpets. By the grace of whoever's  up their, it was only the drivers side behind the seat. I thought ,great not only \alarm/\battery problems, but this as well. To top it all off, got my Aqua Vac out and was trying to get any water i could out ,when their was a bang and a cloud of smoke from the Vac, deceased......

So , up with the roof, checked the obvious drain and sure enough it was blocked.  Not quite sure how you are meant to get anything around the right angle bend in the drain pipe about 5 inches in ??it just hits the wall of the pipe. So i taped a piece of hose to my trusty DC04, and managed to suck out whatever was blocking it. Then taped same pipe to garden hose gun and jetted out both sides so the water was running out of both underside positions, also checked the drains adjacent to the headrests.

Hopefully that has cured my water ingress problem, now for some sunny days.  And , incidently, CAN i remove the alarm siren and still use the car, as i want to change battery  . Cheers

  4. can the siren/alarm be temporary disconnected whilst i look into that, without throwing any error codes, etc.  cheers

The reason  i still may suspect the battery is because it read 11.7 volts after the flashing/alarm incident, and i thought these cars can be doing strange things when battery is on its way out.  But i will disconnect siren if it can be

  5.       Incidently, do not get problem when its on my Lidl conditioner, and my alarm does chirp when i leave something open and lock car.  May do the battery in the Alarm as a precaution,  Anyone know what to order, without me opening mine first, cheers

  6. took car into have a battery check , and was told my 10 yr old battery is in good condition, and just needs a good charge, perhaps the result of short runs?? apparantly should be 800 cca, and mine is 705cca. the guy said hes seen porsches with 15 year old and more batteries. Still not convinced, but will see.

  7. Whilst watching tv tonight noticed the car alarm go off and Hazard lights flashing. the alarm stopped on its own but Hazards still flashing. Stopped with key. Went for a drive to see it it would fix things. Got home , locked up .all was well for 30 mins, then did it again. Thinking it could be Alarm siren box, as DAZ mentioned in a video. Any help appreciated, thanks

  8. Yes i agree too, the 981 Sport Design is far better looking than the 718 wheel. Its just a great, clean Sporty looking wheel. It would be top of my options list if ordering a 981 when they were made.
