Hi @Lonewolfgjp I think dye would look great but that's going way beyond what I'd feeling comfortable doing DIY!
I garage it, but the guy I bought it from had it for 6 years kept outside and I don't think cleaning was top on his priority list

Thanks @Sazzy, I'm sure it will feel worth it when you see the rain beeding nicely. I've still not got around to doing mine but feel the need for a glass of wine too!
Haha why (wine?!) not !

Ah, don't lose heart, @Sazzy. We all have days like that, when we wonder why we got out of bed!
If it's faded or bleached, I believe there are products out there to renovate and recolour it. Someone who knows what they're talking about (i.e. not me!) will be along soon to give you some good advice. Shout out to @geraintthomas and @Jason986S in this regard (to name just two members who might be able to help).
Thanks, it looks a lot lighter in them pics than it actually is mind, because the sun was out.

How did the wine work on it?
Hood cleaning is a task that I don't enjoy! It requires hours of elbow grease working on the stubborn spots. I usually have several sessions on it over the summer and then just as it's looking good winter arrives (my car lives outside)!
Persevere.
Wine probably would've worked better!! So many jobs on this car I'm starting to question whether I should just give in and leave it as it is.

Spent ages doing my roof with the AG kit...... Here's some pics @kevs
Before :
After (still wet):
All good, or so I thought... but once dry, this was the result :
Disappointed is an understatement as I spent ages with the cleaner scrubbing it!!!
Put the car away in a huff and poured a big glass of wine

Treated the hood to autoglyms combined hood cleaner and fabric protector. Looking forward to some nice beading on the hood to go with the bodywork next time it rains
Ooh I've just bought this, job to do on the weekend. How easy was it to use? Did you have to mask up the car? Cheers

@Sazzy let us know how it goes. I got the Autoglym kit for Christmas but have been procrastinating!
Will do

Bought the Autoglym roof kit to do at the weekend ?

Got the drivers seatbelt fitted and tried two different code readers to clear the air bag light with no luck, dammit.

Got it dirty

Had a fun impromptu blast off the lights with a cupra

@Sazzy ah right, I was just wondering if you'd had some suspension work done when you mentioned the improvements.
Ah I see

Alongside the tyres and alignment? Brake, oil and transmission fluid changes and handbrake adjustment.

exactly the same as me, I even got my wife to drive it as I was convinced something was wrong as it felt so different
She said it feels totally smooth and very safe in the corners
Yeah it corners better too. Wish I'd done it sooner to be honest.

Took the car out properly for the first time since getting it back on Wednesday, having had, amongst other work, two new front tyres and laser wheel alignment.
OH MY GOD, I have a different car!!! I actually cannot believe how much better it feels and drives! Much more planted at the front end. Very chuffed.

Got my car back from the garage and now have a substantially emptier wallet

Dropped it off at the garage for oil and filter change, brake fluid and transmission fluid change. So far it's doubled it's bill already with other things.....

Got the naff decals off !

You've potentially got a way to go: mine's 18 years and 92k and I know others can trump that!
Mines 12 years but with 102k and I've no history of a clutch change
