At 57 , still being reasonably supple !!  I climb across without scuffing my feet or putting un due pressure on any part of the interior and simply climb out of the passenger door.

Leaving the roof down would make disembarking an awful lot easier but thats a cradle a few inches above for a sinclair C5  !!

Oh it didnt look like you could open either car door, but now I see perhaps there's a door to the garage on the left.

  2. Luckily avoided damage!

On my way back from the dentist I found myself behind a tractor and tanker. Next thing I know three metal parts come flying off the back, exhaust parts I think, flip under the tankers wheels and up and across the road.

If I had been closer my car would've definitely seen some serious damage I think. Lucky

Old show trick is to wrap the front of the car in cling film. Then when you get there you just peel it off with all the bugs.

I'm not sure I could look anyone in the eye or keep a straight face if my car was wrapped in cling film! Bit like the last day at the office prank !

You'll be fine, just enjoy the day and I hope the weather is as good as it was last year for you guys :)

One guy near where we parked spent almost the whole day cleaning his car!

Thanks, no that is a bit OTT

I can't believe you have done that for Beaulieu!  You are taking this seriously

What if they are not ready, you might have to come with it on four space savers if you can borrow some...

It was on my to do list anyway, I just bought it forward. I dunno why but I'm so conscious, I've never been to anything like this before and don't know what to expect I guess.

A few people were cleaning cars during the event. I was off enjoying the other cars

I can only do my best. It's gone off today to have it's wheels done as I would be too embarrassed to take it with the state they were in. I hope to god they'll be ready in time, the guy assured me they would on the phone, but now he didn't sound so convincing!!!! :o:o

Gave it a quick wash ready for Beaulieu but as we are going down Friday chances are it will be a bit mucky come the day. Wondered what reaction I would get if

    I painted the calipers pink!

I'm pleased to read this as mine is sparkling right now but won't be after coming up from Cornwall, and it's worrying me!!! All the cars in the YT vids are immaculate :worried: ??

Got the same code coming up every 150/200 miles, i just delete till it come up again, everything seems to be working fine

This is the first time it's come on for me. I know it is 02 sensor related most of the time, but my n/s cat has developed a death rattle ?

  9. Well a CEL meant no driving out in the sun for me :weeep: but it meant I got some other jobs done. A proper wash top to bottom, proofer on the hood, a go on the steering wheel with a magic eraser and a lot of elbow grease in a semi successful attempt at shining up the exhaust tip.

  10. Spent all day looking forward to getting out for a roof down drive to the beach this evening, after working flat out for the last fortnight and hardly having chance to even look at the car.

Got half way and the engine management light came on. Gutted wasn't the word. I'm thinking it might be 02 sensor related. Dam car !!!
