For the record, I tried one of these VW ones as it was only ยฃ17 off amazon. Really easy to get the switch out and can confirm it's doesn't work
Worth a try though

At 10k you are well into good 987 money as well. Unless you have a desire for a 986 specifically, I would also consider the 987.
As others have said, that one had more red flags than a Chinese parade, you did well to avoid. Buy on condition and maintenance. And let us know where you are, there maybe someone local willing to help out

VBH didn't rag mine at all, watch the video. All the filming was done on public road and more or less within sight/earshot of the venue (Hayes Motor Museum, Yeovil).

Will probably give it another coat of wax later in the week & I will also condition all the leather interior (thats the seats, door cards, centre console surrounds, speedo binnicle and dashboard) ๐

Still not found anything better for Black cars than Poorboys Glaze and Nattys wax is really good stuff and so easy to apply and buff - i did the wife's X6 with blackhole at the weekend and it really gives a lovely deep colour.

I am off work on Annual leave this week, sorry I forgot to inform you... oh wait, I am not @John K, go feck yourself ๐
Well there is no need for that attitude, I will be calling in HR and don't think your next quarterly review is going to go well ๐

weather forecast was no rain today... gave the car its annual springtime clay bar, then thenย applied the Poor Boys black hole.
As I started to use the Nattys wax and of course it starts to rain! ๐กperhaps if you were working on a Monday and not skiving, it wouldn't have been an issue ๐

Did you wind them on to the same point as the originals? If they are not in the right place, that may cause them to pop off

I rarely have the music up loud, but there was one of my favs on the way home on Monday and cranked it up... same feeling, that Bose on the 987.2 with the sub is a pretty good set up!

Just needed a whistle and glow stick, and i'd have been 18 again

I have only covered 3,950 miles in the last 12 months.. it has so far cost me 1 cam position sensor, 1 service, 4 new tyres and 1 window regulator. I also paid for the front end to be resprayed and the wheels refurbished, and of course crested centre caps.
ยToday is the first day the weather has been suitable to change the window regulator but it will have to wait a few days as I had surgery yesterday.
It is a great example that decent cars are out there, at auction and it is not just cars with lots of issues that go through.
Happy gotcha day car!

still can't park for toffee though - clearly on a double yellow line ๐

careful - you do know it will implode into a worthless piece of scrap at 100,001 miles?
How dare you use your car for the purpose intended
Enjoy!

@Danncusย Make sure when you take the photo that you have something in an image that shows the depth of the hole, that is important. Also look on the council website, they should have a report a pothole section, see if the pothole that has caused your damage is listed, if it is then you have a problem as the council can then claim it is in hand to be fixed. I had a claim paid by Blackpool council when a raised manhole cover ripped the anti roll bar off my Frog eye Sprite, there were no warning signs.
This was Hants Council defence - we knew about the pot hole but its not our responsibility to warn road users of it - we had scheduled a repair within 2 months of the original report so we are covered under some random road traffic act clause - complete load of b*ll*x

I read that it's a fairly common problem and easy to swap out the pump. The challenge is that its located at the back of the front wing behind the inner wheel arch.
Quite a few guides online on how to replace.
