My 987-2 S is perfectly happy with 95 octane.
Fair enough, we are all different

It won't hurt to run the car on 95 RON E10. It will simple revert to a slightly lower map. I have run my Cayman on track (so 200 miles at 5k RPM plus) on 95 RON and it has been perfectly fine.
Obviously my preference is always for 99 but if you can't get it, it really isn't going to matter or make any difference that you can actually feel.
I only stick premium unleaded in all my cars to be honest, ideally Esso Supreme if not V Power or Momentum.
Its a personal thing but I wouldn't use 95 anytime and if i had no choice i'd always use an octane booster like i did in the highlands a few years ago.

Mine was unexpectedly squirrely a couple of times on roundabouts down in the South Midlands today... Scotland???
Ill see what happens with the weather, I was out in my E46 M3 last weekend in the poor weather on a hoon and it very slippery until it started to dry up. The logic is that being midengined it should have more grip than my E46 M3

A map of petrol stations that aren’t closed?
That’s a valid point, also some octane booster as some of the small places don’t sell premium unleaded.

All season/winter tyres...?
If the weather looks bad I won’t bother taking it, it will be on OEM Bridgestone tyres.

Another one for sale,
looks to be a manual with sports chrono, PASM, sports seats
seems a pretty decent price to me as well

Hi all,
Planning a Scottish highlands / lake district trip at the end of the month and thinking of taking the boxster (if its not snowing)
Any essential things i should be taking with me?
Thanks

Interesting, maybe I need to increase the agreed value on my insurance! I've got less miles and more spec from a quick look at that 😬
Who is yours insured with rowbos?
If it sells for that price its great for the BE market, that does include a 2 year Porsche warranty though which has to be worth a bit.
-
Porsche Cardiff have a BE PDK up for sale listed at £35k be interesting to see how quickly they sell it for etc
spec is pretty average on the whole, the only extras i can make out over the standard BE are electric memory seats (non sport ones) and Sports chrono with multifunction steering wheel

New one on Autotrader, low mileage one owner and looks a good spec but unfortunately no detail pictures of the centre dash to confirm PASM / PSE and no mention in description.....
No 095 with 28,682 miles and £28.995 Private Seller.........retail price without warranty is probably pushing ?
PDK
Full leather
Sport Chrono
Parking sensors
BOSE
Sport Seats
PASM ??
PSE ??
After looking at the images it has either PSE or PASM but not both.
The panel has 2 spare slots
It will have sports, sports plus, PSE or PASM, gap, gap, spoiler up/down, Traction Control
If i was guessing id say it was PSE as the button text looks larger than the shock symbol but i can't be sure, it doesn't have both though i am sure of that
Similar spec to ours, hopefully prices stay strong

to put that 2.0 (260bhp) into perspective, I have a 3.0d X3 258bhp diesel with the sublime 7 speed ZF gearbox that does 0-60 in under 6 seconds. It gives me 35mpg with a mixture of roads and smoking "hot" hatches off the lights
How much more do you need from a high sided utility vehicle?
100% it’s ample.
Id take a 2.0 and have something else for speed and excitement like a 911 or Boxster. The Macan is an amazing car fir what it is but it’s not a replacement to a sports car IMO

Agreed! I've driven the 2.0 one and thought it a really good car.
I agree, I have driven a turbo pp, 2.0 and the 3.0 diesel and all of them were great cars. Not driven a gts or a 3.0 but they will be close to the diesel S / turbo I expect.

Ah...but the 380 bhp in the GTS makes for an even better daily driver!
That is true but not everyone needs a 380 BHP daily, the power is lovely but it’s not essential in my opinion. Either way any Macan is a cracking car even the baby 2.0 of the group

Unless you rev the t*ts off it constantly and end up with teen figures MPG it is just far too slow and not worthy of the badge on its bonnet.
Some would say a 4 pot Boxster isn’t worthy of the Porsche badge either but it’s still a great car. As above 260 BHP is ample for a daily driver SUV!

New one for the list has cropped up on ebay....low mileage 21k, price £30k.....
No. 850
spec to update list when I get a chance....
PDK
none sports seats
Sport Chrono
None Bose
Full climate
Park assist
cruise control
Not full leather
no PASM or PSE
Sport “flappy paddle” steering wheel
Looks mint but the wheels have been refurbed without the signature silver strip on the rim
Saw this and thought if it sells at that price this is positive news for prices
-
Very cheap one for sale on eBay at the moment which looks a good buy for someone.... looks like prices are dropping if that is HPI clear

Thanks, a couple of new ones on there I had not found
ps 083 does have sports seats and 035 is exactly the same spec as mine 037, spooky
No problem, I wasn’t sure about 083 as I could see the perfect angle but I couldn’t see the shoulder wing bits in one of the distance photos which is why I came to that conclusion.
There is more I am sure I just searched Porsche 987 black edition on google and opened up the advert ones. I didn’t go that far in the results so I am sure you could add more too your list
Full leather doesn’t seem that common so it's great you have that on yours as it’s a lovely option to have.
-
Also reading your attached options list mine has the centre console storage compartment lid with the Boxster S logo and not the crest. Option XUV if you could change mine to this that would be great.

257 is in the U.K.
But not much info available

Here is a link to 440

Looks great OP
Decent spec too, silver is such an underrated colour on the Boxster and i am not sure why it looks excellent.
How do you find it compares to the 981 S?
