There you go @SaxosimRemember to disconnect battery 👍🏼
Once you get the b pillar trim away you will see how to remove the seatbelt reel, there’s a pin that holds it in to the roll bar that can be a little fiddly but other than that it is quite easy, can even be done with the roof up in the shyte weather- 1

I used these instructions.

The factory switches activate a relay. The electrical connections are explained in the link. I think you could combine the instructions shown at the link with the method in the video and make use of the factory switches.
Super. I'll let you know if I have any luck

Wheel came back from Royal today. Very chuffed, they've done a top job!
Dark grey alcantara, red centre stripe and dark grey stitching. Also asked them to make it slightly thicker but on the inside so as not to increase the diameter of the wheel. Looks and feels great.
The colour is much closer to the airbag colour as it appears in the photo too

Sorted the leather on my drivers seat bolsters.
Before.
After.

Replace the AOS as she was smoking like a bitch.
2004 Anni, managed to get the bottom clip off with finger stength but here's a top tip when i put the new one in i pinched the clip with pliers and used a small cable tie to keep the clip open and once in place i just cut it BOOM.
Just took her down the A10 for a 130mph blast all better now
Good tip, but they say the use of 2 cable ties takes her to 150mph? 😉

Put the bumper back on after meshing the vents and relocating the Frunk release cable.
And also received an email from Royal saying my steering wheel should be dispatched on Monday

I was following a Boxster into London a few years back and when the spoiler raised up it said "Feck You" 😂
Least some people still have a sense of humour 🤣

Sticker looks good, subtle. Stick with it, different to all us that have gone big!
Where are your centre caps from? I've just had mine arrive from Ali express, haven't put them on yet but they look damn good for a few pennies! -

Hi Christopher, glad the videos helped. The belts look great. Which red are they, No. 7 or 8?
Red 7 although they look a lot brighter in the photos

Seatbelts from JW turned up today. Thanks to @987RG for the helpful videos. Pretty much the same process for a 986 😉

Fitted new door speakers. Went for the Sony XS-FB1320E and they lined up perfectly with the existing holes. Made even easier by the fact the person before me only replaced 2 of the 5 screws holding the door card in place on the drivers side🤔
Also made a start on the tweeters on the dash. Decided I wasn't going to fork out for a fitting kit and was going to DIY it so existing mounts cut and news speakers trimmed and fitted in the mount
Just waiting for the wiring to come now. Had 2 options of either saving the existing plug or spending £2.56 for a new cable and connector. No brainer!

Fantastic write up 👍🏼 Seems a very capable little tool

Highly recommend these if you are going to clay - https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/clay-bars/farecla-g3-body-prep-clay-mitt-660104.html
Much more efficient than a traditional clay bar, I tend to use DoDo juice Born slippy as lube 😃

Desnorkel and lost a few pieces of skin in the process 😣

Removed the seatbelts to be recoloured in a nice red 😋

Looks like the cheapo Chinese badges have disappeared. Probably shut down by Porsche.
Try DHGate.
You’ve just got to be clever about what you search for -

Erm......thats a no from me.......may have looked better if it had followed the boot line .......but I still prefer the original font on the older Porsche’s
It’s hard to follow the boot line due the curvature of the boot lid, I did toy with it but just didn’t look right in my eyes

I use imgur. Easier on the website than the app
You can upload then just click share and it gives you the correct link

Photo for those who want it, although it is on a 986! -

I have access to a sand blasting cabinet so a bare metal repaint.
Ahh. Then I am jealous.
I shall rephrase; how would you suggest going about it without a sand blast? Brake cleaner and then just rough up the surface?
What have YOU done to your 986 today ?
