Hi, Console and trim look good. I will have to wait until I can see one in person them maybe will do also.........

    Thanks for posting

    Berni

    Thanks @Berni29

Ideally the the surround around the hazard switch and dials also needs to be the same silver but I’ve only just taken it off to wrap the top in alcantara and with the added thickness of the alcantara it was a bugger to get back on so it can wait!

Something I'm considering doing when bits that are wearing out or breaking get replaced.  How did you prep to remove that slightly softer layer that factory apply and how many hours?

More than chuffed with the outcome. Probably about 3 hours work in total (obviously there’s trim to go back on the bottom photo!)

Also did the hooks on the back of the seats as per the Anniversary Edition

Off to make myself a surround for the head unit now 😜

Interesting. Also Artic silver with black on black and more black interior. Will be interested to see the final result. May have a go.

It should end up looking like this... minus the strips across the dash because they’re a bit dash out job

Just a lot of sanding with 2000 Grit. Makes a lot of mess but hopefully worth it. If I’m honest I expected it to be harder than it was it’s not actually that soft once you start. The paints also taken very well

Found why the washer jets didn't work, this bit was behind the battery presumably chucking screenwash all over the place. Wondered where the water was coming from considering its not rained here for at least a week or more. Looks like its worn out, although it did click back into place.

When I fire the washers, the wipers momentarily pause then carry on moving. Is this normal?

Had this on mine. New piece from OPC is dirt cheap before you look on FleaBay. Also check your battery tray, mine had gone rusty from all the water being sprayed on there 🙃

Hi, I want to do this, but I have the CDR23 door speakers and 4 channel amp in the frunk, so wiring in the rear speakers will be a pain.

Mine was the same. CDR23 with just dash and door speakers. Swapped out all 4 speakers and it was better but still lost the sound with top down driving.
Fitted a fully loaded double din unit instead then used the existing amp to power the front speakers and the new HU to power the rears. Works well enough for me. Although I am toying with under seat subs as my other car has them and they make a massive difference in my opinion

    Hi

I have his front adapters, I thought the rears came with grilles? I could be wrong! Did you consider leather for the door pockets, or you just prefer alacantra?

Grilles are extra with the rears, he did offer but I had some mesh left over from when I did the grilles in the front bumper 😁

Do you mean the door pocket covers (the flap that opens up)? Mine were a nasty plastic which the colour had worn off clearly from many years of an arm resting there so I decided to go with alcantara to match my steering wheel plus I thought I'd struggle to get a colour match to the rest of the leather

  8. Taking sandpaper to your paint is always a brave thing to do! :thumbsup_still:

When you say temporary do you mean you will be getting it done professionally in the future, or do you have another fix in mind? That last photo seems out of focus, do you have any others where we can see the outcome?

Imgur works well on a Web browser but I’ve never been able to get the correct image url from the app.

Had this issue and finally worked it out! You have to press and hold and it’s gives you different options - at least on a iPhone anyway.

Took out the drivers side headlight to replace a build and found a piece of wire behind it with a loop on, I presume this is some kind of drunk release but what use is it behind the light when you need to pop the drunk to get at it, or should it be located elsewhere?

    Yes emergency release.
There is a way to get in if the battery goes through the fusebox I believe. But I relocated mine so it’s accessible through the tow point on the front bumper 👍🏼

    Hi

Are the wheels a standard offset? I think they look pretty close. Apologies, but I think the car look so much better without the spacers.

    Berni

Yes they are, 18” Carreras I believe! I think they look a bit lost in the arches as standard.
I’ll try and get a better photo in the coming days!

No need to apologise, each to their own 👍🏼😋

Handling any better? The extra width would make a difference in my man maths

Haven’t driven it yet. It started to rain 🙄

According to 986forum yes, adds some extra track and makes it feel more planted. They say you get a little extra scrub but nothing notable
