lockdown has been tough. 🤣
I have been one of the lucky or unlucky ones dependant on the circumstance to have been at work throughout this whole madness. In some way I wish I was furloughed imagine what I could have got up too, in another way the stress of the uncertainty would have driven me nuts.....I like to keep busy
And polish your own undercarriage...lol.

Here are the pipes polished to an inch of their lives before fitting
Arches BEFORE I cleaned them properly...
and a bottom shot.....
As for the rest, no shots of the under pans but I can assure you 30+ hours over the winter was spent cleaning polishing and replacing unseen parts, I like my undys as clean as my oveys

Satisfaction! 😎
Oh yes....chuffed is my word of the day. I was a little worried about the TopGear 200 cell sports cats fitted a few months ago, it only just passed emissions in the time period required by the testing equipment. I did put on some right angle lambda sensor extenders to the rear lambdas to stop the cell light from coming on, so I reckon its right on the limit for emissions? Anyhoo, all good for another year.

Went for an MOT today, passed with a 'that's the shiniest Porsche I have seen underneath comment'. All the winter garage tinkering paid off

You have probably overcome the issue by having a 3.4 with more torque, I was not aware of it until I had the map changed. They do some strange stuff with fly by wire cars, did you know the throttle automatically backs off when you near the redline to stop over revving? this was dealt with too but I never rev that hard anyway.
I have heard some adaptive cruise features are rubbish, I have heard my dad complain about his Honda acting a little strange whilst in direct sunlight.
-
I had the map modified on my 2.9 pdk to smooth out the rubbish that the manufactures put in for emissions tests and all that stuff, no real power gains but the drive is so much smoother and felt more 'accurate', this seemed to help the PDK changes which became more fluid with less throttle input, it stopped that dull area from 7th to 6th upon overtakes.
Is was about £200 ish from a company called JR Tuning in Kent, fascinating to see the maps for each gear and throttle loads and worth the cash.

^^ great idea ^^^

I would recommend changing it as the flywheel scores to the fitted clutch plate, similar to brake discs and pads, and as its stripped it would seem sensible to do at 133k miles. A complete clutch kit on Euro car parts including flywheel is £379.

That is very disappointing to hear I thought the 718 would be rock solid (had enough practice)....I was hoping the 718 may be a future purchase so will keep an eye on issues like this.

Chris.......those lights look great on a lighter car as well .......the "tint" for mine has just arrived from the USA......not sure I'll get chance to try them though.......the none tinted are gorwing on me in any case so not sure whether to bother or not....probably will as I can always just remove it.....but not on my urgent list as they look so good as is 😉
Thanks Jonttt, the more I look at them the better they look, great addition. Would like to see them tinted, I do prefer the non tinted look with the silver. Look forward to the pictures.

that garage is super clean! what happens to the carpet tiles when the car is wet?
That's the Porsche garage, I have others and workshop for the bikes that are not quite to tidy lol.
Wet? the car has never seen rain in my ownership lol. Rarely washed only polished or mist and wiped after use...….there has been incidences when the AC has left a small puddle underneath. As the tiles are rubber backed the water just sat on top until I mopped it up. Seem pretty good. I do have spares if I make a mess but generally I put card board and old duvet covers down if I am fiddling with dirty bits (often).

Nice lights. They don't seem to do that style for 987.1 which is good as otherwise I might be tempted! 😃
they do update the back end nicely, plug and play too which is nice.
I have seen them for the 986 and 987.2 but strangely not the 987.1, may be worth emailing Stephen at BM town (supplier) to see if they are going to manufacture them, other types for the 987.1 are available similar to the 987.2 originals. bmtown@aol.com

Morning all,
I fitted my newly arrived LED lights after seeing Jonttt's, I have been looking at them for a while but seeing his made up my mind.
Easy job, even though I did fit extra sticky back foam around the inside to level them up as I thought they may touch the bumper paint.
From.....
to...….
Look awesome at night!

No problem I allegedly got done dd spent a year fighting it against a medical condition I have but to no avail, setting precedents and all that, hence RS60 had to go to pay legal fees
Suspension not a million miles out and exhaust is awesome!!!!
Thanks Mick, shame the fight with the system did not come to the right conclusion, good your back on the road now and can test your hard work. Pleased you like the exhaust, I fitted the 200 cell sports cats this year which opens the 987.2 sound, I do wonder what a new rear system would sound like....Interesting the tracking was not far out, looking to attempt the spring change too but finding a decent alignment locally is a pain. (usual KF and ATS bother me)

Nice Jonttt, I could not help myself and ordered some, I hope they look ok with my silver Box......will post some pics once installed.

Got my driving License back, so took it out and got my alignment done, then went for a blast, and all is in order after all the work I’ve done to it😊😊😊😊😊
Excellent, how does the exhaust sound Mick? Was the alignment far out seeing as you put it back to the settings you started with?
I hope you don't mind me asking, what happened to your license?

Thanks for that, Love this type of detail and will go looking through some menus later to see what I have, I always wondered why it said 'key 1' on the dash when I got in the car.....I could have it available.
