I felt the same way so investigated the company, they use eBay amongst others to advertise. Was happy with what I found and the workmanship is good.

Those belts look really nice.
Can I ask cost?Who did them. And how long it took them?
Cost £76 all in (£35 each belt then return shipping) you need to send them off and pay shipping using your own Wonga. The company was from ebay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-Seat-belts-Any-car-Many-colours-send-me-your-belts-to-be-rewebbed/274127608562?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
His name is Jason, seams a good guy and communicates well. The whole process took 6 days from sending off. Great results.

Correct Jim, it a piece of mind thing also....I relied on it for a few months and worried about the oily bits until I had the big service. Been all over it myself now and they are not as difficult as I first thought, I worried unnecessarily and spent out £££. I own some Italian motorcycles and every ride I have a what if moment, but it adds to the excitement.

not real running costs in reality
Ah, running costs....that's different, mine would have cost me 0 (zero) in necessary parts since purchase as its not due for a service until August 2020. Necessary as any car ….Insurance £300 per year, summer months fuel £100 per month (£6-700) tax £175 for 6 months x 2. Cheap motoring.

cheers Chris, but even £1900 on a service for a car that's done 20k is excessive - i mean what can need done after 20k?
Was not really needed its just how I operate, being a new to me car and one that I will probably keep for a good few years meant I wanted everything checked and replaced to get the best possible start with my first rally into Porsche ownership. when I picked it up it had been serviced by Colchester Porsche, but only a minor including new belt. So 3k miles later I went to Tonbridge Porsche and had all fluids replaced, including PDK box and clutch, brake fluid, another belt, major service, 4 wheel alignment, coolant, aircon regas and system check, 111 point check, plugs and coils, filters including cabin etc all done. This gave me the confidence in the car going forward, then to start upgrading a little..... I am like this with my bikes.....a little over the top maybe?

In 18 months ownership I have spent the grand total of £5323.72p on a 20K mileage 2.9. £1900 on an OCD service and the rest on performance parts and upgrades.

I hate that too, even my missus' shopping car Peugeot cheap bast*d car thing has a button for open and a button for close...….

@EVO Chris sounds good, who are you using to re-webbing the seatbelts for you?
It a company I found on ebay called JW Autos, £35 for each belt.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/jasongtr-spares?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
3 day turnaround, Jason has been very communicative with the service so felt comfortable sending him my belts. Sent them out today and hopefully will be back by Monday, I will let you know how it goes, with pictures of course.

I took the seat belts out of the car last night, 20 min job and sent them off for a change to red webbing, I will post some pics when they are back.

I have nearly completed the polishing of the exhausts and sports cats manifold change. The polishing is such a ball ache but well worth the results.... I will put up a new thread with the complete process including pictures at some point next week. Well worth doing.

Got in the engine bay and unprated the filter to a BMC, removed the snorkel plate and fitted a mesh cover, nice to finally take a peak at the engine. Also Polished up a set of standard exhausts ready to fit when my sports manifolds arrive next week ( Christy pressy for myself). Will take some pictures during the process of fitting.

looks good, would like to see the finished job and any tips?

Thanks Davey your so kind and I'm glad you like it, its grown on me too. I like the fiddly bits around the badge as that's what I excel at, its all in the detail.
Next project is a set of high flow manifold cats but that's into the winter months when all the other life stuff has receded. (painting a mates trike at the moment).

Contrats on passing your MOT, nice.
I had my first MOT with my 2010 2.9 in August (owned 1 year last August). What a mare! Long story short after having a 'proper service' (1.9k) at Porsche and 1 week later the MOT failed on the Xenon light washers not working, went back to Porsche who told me they were checked but the fuse was missing from the fuse holder??!! Where'd it go I wonder? MOT man did not even know where the fuse box was. Having some OPC trust issues here people!
Car is all good now, infact it is stunning......

The stripe is removable so why not if you want to try it. I've seen various forms of stripes - one, two, central, off-centre, black, silver, translucent, bonnet only and over the full length of the car. All looked fine and personalised the car. You wont get flamed for doing it!
Yeh, nothing to lose I will have a go and post up once done......I have a free Sunday coming up to play with the car.

The sign guy goes under the name uk-fabulous-finds on ebay. May be worth contacting to see if he has anymore stock?

Cheers all without stripe it is then, the floor has been screed and will have carpet tiles from tomorrow I am just waiting for posty to deliver
The Porsche crest came from ebay about a month ago, about £50 if I remember correctly. There is a guy who sells signs who I contacted as its a mare to buy Porsche stuff like this as its policed heavily.

Yes that’s him, been in the interior business for years and has a good reputation.
I belong to other forums including classic cars and they use him, put the word out before I went for it. Like anything safety related you need to take a calculated risk before moving forward. For instance I buy brembo discs and pads to ensure they as good as the manufacturer spec etc.
