You'll only retain minuscule amount of the old fluid in the ABS (assuming that is what you mean) and that that there is has not been exposed to air or heat. I did a whole replacement for all the hard lines under the car along with new flexi hoses and overhauled calipers. Flushed through with new fluid from the reservoir through the whole system, then bled it in the standard way and have had no problems.

I've removed bad data above @charlieboy2608.
They are 5¼" or 13cm or at least the ones I bought that fitted straight into the door speaker boxes last autumn were.

Thanks for suggesting the error. Correct info above.

Rather unsubtle on a Boxster, but everyone has their own preferences. Even if you are going for a full kit and not just the wing, then beware it will not add anything to resale value.

All your part numbers seem to be correct thank you apart from,
999 707 344 40 x 2NoThese are small green O rings which aren’t required or certainly not inbetween the base of the oil cooler and the engine block. Out of interest they are about 10 quid each which is absolutely ridiculous!
I didn't list that one.... Dims given make it look like an imperial size 18.77 x 1.78mm and it could be a special material, but the way it is listed implies it is an alternative or up issue to 35mm one. Impossible!

It was their error . I should have realized as they were less than half the size, but as they all came in a little plastic bag, I didn’t question it!
Phew! Any up issues on the part numbers I gave?

Today, picked up the O-rings to replace the oil cooler. Sadly, two were wrong. Will return tomorrow to pick up the two correct ones and the AOS which has come earlier than anticipated.
...Hopefully their error, not the part numbers I gave??

If only…
I did say minimum, and like many of us you have taken the 'Whilst I'm in there' approach, but maybe to an extreme!

Basically any Boxster is going to cost you a minimum of £4-5k even if the purchase price is half that...

The most important is a plastic impeller to avoid the risk of metal bits going through the water system or machining away the housing in the event of a failure. Pierberg 7031081.02.0 is the nearest to OE and I believe Pierberg (although not 100% certain) are the OE supplier to Porsche. About £200.

Hopefully the photo will show up of my exhaust after repairs. The guy who repaired it only sent me the after not the before.
The garage that done the welding was just a regular independent garage (not Porsche specialist).
Cost was £120 and they had the car for a day and the welding was done in Nov 21. The car has only covered around 3k miles since and when cleaning I do make an extra effort to try to get to the tops of the boxes.
if the link above does not work, please search the following topic which has got the photo.
It did sound good before it was welded! 😉

Huh. I had my door cards off last weekend (changed to black ones) and I don't have any door membranes on the doors at all. I don't get water in through the doors so I guess that means the drain holes in the doors are clear. I guess I should look into getting some membranes just in case..
You may (will) regret it at some point if you don't. They are integral to the design of keeping water out.

Hi Chris hope your well.
I had a major service two new rads and a dryer and some sort of Bush replacement Lee guessed the cause of me suddenly getting three warnings one after the other lost of PSM but ok to drive stop start not available cruise control turned on but would not engage all on a drive back from Shrewsbury.
I thought if fact I was sure it was my battery but Lee at Cotswold Porsche Specialists said it was this Bush and its all sorted now just an empty bank account to sort our now 😢 😭.
I guess you mean PASM mount as the 'bush'. Yep, costly. A pair of a/c condenser rads and a dryer are unfortunately pretty common Boxster requirements.
Keep enjoying it!

It was nice to meet you, sorry I talked you to death I don't get out much.
I know how frustrating it is to get a silly observation on your MOT pass on mine this year the tester quoted an observation for screen obscured because I forgot to remove my phone holder that was attached to the window before it was tested. It would have been a clear pass if not for that.
It was a very long and expensive day 😪 but made nicer to have a nice company again sorry I can talk the legs off a chair.
What did you have done?

Having accidentally bought a 981 and not yet sold the 987 and my insurance won’t do temp cover, figured I should probably get it covered
I’m after fire and theft as I won’t use the car
thanks
Maybe call one of our site sponsors Howden (formerly A-Plan) as they are a specialist broker.

@987RG has had the tops of his boxes welded successfully to retain the original exhaust.

I can’t post any higher resolution, the forum won’t allow me to increase the file size. The spike is Boron, usually from the additive pack in the oil and not a concern.
Use Flickr or Imgur and a host, then 'Copy image link' and paste in the forum.

Sadly, I’m not a novice - been working on cars for more than 25 years 😁
And you asked BoXa ?!? 🤣
Seriously, glad it is an easily explainable anomaly.

Water leak
in 986
Nothing.
It is the lowest component on the front of the engine.

Also ask them about Classic Porsche membership if you haven't already.

Bosch Sabre blades are also good for the hard steel in these Porsche bolts. Done 4 bolts and 3 drop links with just one blade.
