718as
Is the rear higher than the front as the profiles are the same, yet the rear tyre is wider, or does the rear suspension sit slightly lower to accommodate?
Patt
the profile is a percentage of the width - not a measurement
718as
So 35mm profile is not the length of the side wall?

Greenman
Your original summation was correct the diameter of the rears is greater than the fronts, but given this is how it was designed then it's been allowed for accordingly.
718as
thanks, so the rear shocks/springs would be slightly lower.

Not necessarily, it depends how Porsche have set the car up, for instance the rear suspension mountings could be at a different height. As with all cars it will be slightly different laden with two heavy passengers, luggage and a full tank than with low fuel level and a light driver. On a Boxster the front will alter most as fuel and most of the luggage are up front where the occupants are more in the middle.
