Independent Garage in Kent

Hi All,

I purchased my late 2006 987.1 2.7 in Feb 19 as my self indulgent treat for turning 50 this June. The car had 107K on it but has a full Porsche / Porsche Specialist service history and most of that mileage was put on it over a 4 year period, covering less than 10K in last 4 years. Since buying it, I've put 3K on it and it hasn't missed a heartbeat. Just replaced the rear tyres and looking at the service history it was last serviced in Aug 17 around 6K ago - so I've decided to get a full service including plug and fluids change. I live near Deal / Dover in Kent and was looking for a good / recommended Independent who will keep the service history stamps in the service book intact and is of course good at what they do. Any suggestions?

Steve at Goss Hall Classics gave my car the once over just after i purchased it. He said it was a good buy. I wasn't sure if he gives a Porsche specialist stamp in the book and to be honest, I originally went to him because he is 2 miles from home, having found him through a google search. But if he comes with recommendation too, that would make me feel a lot easier.

Think he quoted me £600 for a full service, replacing all plugs and all fluids.

I'll recommend him for you then.  He's looked after a couple of mine, over the years.  No-nonsense and I always found him to be reasonably priced.  I've not used him with the current car only because it is under Porsche warranty.

Only spoken to Steve at Goshall over the phone but good vibes.  Straight talk no bull and straight to the point.

He’s my likely when it comes time. And I have a few others nearer home one is an OK but not cheap and hard to pin down , a couple of others are meh and two are “not only no but f*** no”

You could try Neil at NWJ Autocare, Bredhurst.  He used to look after our V8s and has done a few jobs on my and others Porsches.  You can say I sent you.  He knows me as Araf or my real name.
