Any tips on drying out the area around the high level brake light?

So, other than some kind of blower, has anyone found a way of getting all of the water out of the area around the high level brake light on a 981 after a wash?

It seems that no matter how much time I spend jamming all sorts of drying towels to draw the water out, after a single drive it always seems that more water comes out and runs down the rear deck.

Thanks in advance

What's wrong with a leaf-blower?

Cheap as chips from Screwfix etc.

And you can dry the door handle area, wheels etc. etc.

I have a battery powered leaf blower, works really well...

a blower or a short drive is the only way.

There is foam pads stuck between the light and the boot - thus no chance of just mopping it up with a microfiber towel.

That said opening the boot helps release the water a fair bit.

Air compressor, much easier than bulky leaf blowers for drying off brake discs etc.  Awesome for giving the interior a blow job for the hard to get at dirt!

Also have an impact driver for wheel nuts and a tyre inflator for it too.

True, but I also use my leaf blower to blow leaves!  And to start the BBQ 😬

With the BBQ, doesn’t the leaf blower blow all the gas away?

Gas. Pah! A BBQ is not a BBQ unless it uses charcoal 😃

The leaf blower does blow the charcoal away unless you are careful though!
