What part is this please?

Hi

I have two mangled versions of this, but I cannot find it on the PET or anywhere else. Its the bit of pressed steel that attaches to the rear aluminium struts.

Pictures from the internet.

Thanks in advance!

I think that’s a bracket that the rear undertray which goes across the rear of the car attaches to. I had to remove mine to fit tubular manifolds.

It braces the lower side of the rear subframes that arch over the drive shafts and supports the engine under tray.  Not sure how much stiffness it adds to the subframes but they must be there for a reason as they are fairly well designed extruded and machines ali, clearly not just some sort of support bracket for an under tray...  Drawing 501-01.

The aluminium part and there are two are cross braces and provide support , the mangled bit of tin is the mounting for the under tray, look for drawings of under trays and you should be able to identify it.

Hi

Thank you guys. That makes sense. My car does not have the undertray so the mangled bit of tin did not make sense.

The aluminium supports themselves are critical.

Tks
