Lonewolfgjp Posted May 2, 2022 Report Share Posted May 2, 2022 Yes you could go that way, I haven’t used a Pipercross since the 90’s in my 106 Rallye😂 I don’t know if there is any difference between foam or the cotton filters sound or performance wise. It was a cracking little car at the time, I think it was 18mths old and £7k. To achieve greater flow - filtration is sacrificed: more air = bigger holes to let bigger lumps through. Chukkieegg Posted May 3, 2022 Author Report Share Posted May 3, 2022 Interesting remember seeing a YouTubee vid a few months ago 2australians with a 987 and a dyno using a standard airbox with a panel filter got 2bhp over stock filter but when they swapped to larger throttle body and forced air induction kit lost about 4bhp so think the airbox cobfig from porsche is good think I just want a little bit more induction noise which you should get with a panel filter over a paper one Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
