Roof inside picture

Hi guys,

Can someone post a picture of the inside of the roof please. I dont know how to post a picture of mine but I dont know if its genuine or aftermarket. Is the Boxster roof double skinned?

I was attempting to tighten the passenger side to make it store back inside the frame but from inside mine looks different to the ones I have seen on youtube and I cant find the material I am supposed to attach the stretch ribbon I have.

Mine doesn't look like that Baldrick, thanks. I assume mines wont have the inner lining with it being a 2000 model. It wont let me upload any pictures of mine, keeps saying the file size is too big.

Has anyone tightened the roof on their pre facelift to allow it to seat properly?

Thanks Scubaregs.

Is this roof the normal 2000 roof?

To confirm what @Baldrick's said, not what mine looks like. OE is a smooth material with no weave pattern.  Have you got a vinyl or a glass rear window?

It has a glass screen

That will be an aftermarket hood on a 2000 year car, Porsceh only fitted glass in the revised hood from 2002/3.

Or a facelift hood fitted to a pre facelift. You can tell by the size of the window.

But the lining is wrong for a Porsche hood.

The aftermarket hoods normally don't come with a liner and reuse the liner from the OE hood.

That won't work too well if you go from a larger vinyl window Porsche hood to a smaller glass window aftermarket hood...  It doesn't make the material correct for a lined hood, unless of course it is unlined.

@edc I was of course talking rubbish in the statement above.  The liner stops at the hoop before the rear window. Apologies.
