MOT & PADM Fault

Well I'm all sorted now with a new MOT, Major Service, New PADM mount, Tax & Insured so ready to go.

Will address the manifold clamps and discs for my own amusement in due course.

Car felt good when I collected it yesterday, but that may be because I'd towed my boat to Devon and Back then jumped straight into the Porsche.

Good service from Dovehouse who have been a pleasure to deal with..

It could also be placebo, or the effect of a lighter wallet??

Gald Dove House are still on form, mine will be in there in the next few weeks.

Could be placebo for sure.  Car felt quite crisp and that could be both the coil pack and the new PADM jobbie - either way I'm quite happy although a tad less pocket money this month now!!

I have the failed PADM unit that I plan to have a look at - it's a lot bigger than I imagined, but I guess if it's holding an engine in place and moving it about it needs to be fairly substantial!

I actually want to understand how the unit works & why/where it fails..

The mechanics of replacing it are clear.  Got some bike parts to make and then I'll take a look before resorting to the band saw!!

Yeah sorry I may have linked the wrong thing (although still a great post), I seem to remember there was a post with a dissection of one somewhere but can't find it.
