Freddie
Hi all, Just wondering what others have done about rattly heat shields, not the main one over the cat, but the long sleeve one that sits on the pipe with the hole for the O2 sensor. See attached image, the thing with the cross-hatch pattern on it is what's very loose on mine and rattles like a skeleton having a w@&k in a biscuit tin! Many thanks, in advance
bally4563
Most people just remove it

charlieboy2608
If you dont wish to remove it just use a large jubilee clip at each end 🙂
½cwt
If you are really keen for originality the shields are about £65 to 70 each, 996 113 421 00 and 996 113 422 00 from Porsche with no fixings which are about £40 per side in OE parts, (don't read the next part of this sentence of you are of a nervous disposition or have a fragile wallet) or come as part of the complete cat assembly at about £2.5k per side!!! Bin or Jubilee clips would be my choice.
Toddie
Mine was sorted out with jubilee clips, it certainly works!
Freddie
Thanks guys for all your replies, I'll see if I can get a couple of clips on tomorrow; at first glance there was very little meat left on each end to get a jubilee clip on but I may be wrong - I'll check again and remove if I can't keep it in place. Thank you again, very helpful of you all.

Freddie
Quick update, I wangled a stainless jubilee clip around the middle of it and it's now silent. Just tight enough to clamp in place without stripping the thread on on the clip, I'll check it again in a couple of weeks when I do the spark plugs and coil packs. Happy for now, sounds lovely on idle again
