How are you getting on with the Toyosports item?
Only done a couple of test drives with mine but will be doing a 40 mile round-trip on Tuesday, hopefully with the roof down, weather permitting and will know more on my return!Roof down I found was 'quieter' and the resonance boom effect was reduced compared to roof up.

You could either get it mapped out or if memory is right if there is a sparenemoty boss out the lambda in and leave hanging in the air but tied out the way. I think this is what @Mark Shead did.
-
If I knew second hand exhaust prices would be this crazy I'd have bought lots years ago. I paid about £60 nearly 10 years ago for a low mileage good one.
-
If you look up @Mark Shead if my memory is right he had his early 3.2 rebuilt by himself to 3.4 and a custom 2 box exhaust with no cats. I had a lazy ride many years ago and it was loud ish but not obnoxious.

I decided against all good advice to give the decay’s an ago. If it is too noisy, then they will go on eBay at a loss! Not the end of the world.
My worry was after speaking to gravity performance is that they definitely do not guarantee that their sports cats will pass an MOT
I will report on here after I have had it noise checked
what a chance!
They wouldn't because they probably haven't tested them. They buy in and put their branding on. If you wanted more guarantees then you're going to have to pay a lot more money for somebody that uses say HJS cats in the pipes.

There is a guy that goes by Pixels Fixed doing them for £275 and I saw a special offer event rate for £225.

Is £300+ for a new remote fob a recent quotation? It was much cheaper.

If the car has been sat for ages and in the main just shunted around then the fuel trims will need time to adjust. Also the old fuel even if you had put octane booster in isn't going to be doing you any favours.
Early 986 3.2 is 250 ish, later car a tiny bit more the 550 266. The 987 3.2 was rated at 276 PS from memory so it's nearly 10% more than your car.

A very quick Google and there do seem to be readily available auto dim rear mirrors for 986.
-
I think there is an aftermarket auto dimming mirror.

Don't forget Dansk as high end bust still less than OE options from Porsche. Both standard sound and sports sound options are available.
Personally I'd see Dansk as OE spec/quality rather than high end. I think our perception of OE / Dansk pricing is skewed by second hand and cheap exhausts.

Do those seats actually give much support and hold you in?

Lights can come on but can still be not enough battery power to crank or fire the engine. Sounds like you need to get there or somebody needs to go get there to problem solve with the car in front of them.
-
You can fit a cage or there are also harness bar options.
-
Does it crank but not fire? Assuming battery good, good coils and spark, then have a look at the fuel pump.
-
Not for a 986.

Sounds good £499 for the fitting of a brand new exhaust plus £1500 for the removal of the old one and it's rusty nuts!!
It's a good point that you need to know what you are getting. £499 is id bet a price for the exhaust box, no cats no manifolds. Custom manifolds would be at least £499 again.

The Carnewal is done on an exchange basis or on your own useable exhaust. I think he used to do purchase only but I'm sure not at that price.
-
Eur 390 on his website.
-
Carnewal on a 986 was definitely not £1k when I did it.

Exactly what I was thinking. Although I have no idea where to look for a solution!
More educated guess work but sounds like a problem with your closed loop running which could be a problem with the lambdas. You can check the lambdas with a tool or even test the AFR at your son's garage with an exhaust probe.

It's sounds like a cold start transition issue.

That may be why it's not as hot as you expect? Perhaps some are broken?
