  1. Read another thread on here about being able to see Vehicle Voltage on the right hand cluster display.. Quite cool that you can see this, and it does look like my battery needs replaced - showing 11.4V and I believe should be 12.6 min

    Got to be the battery!

Put your hand down under the seat and hopefully it's all dry in the gap in the carpet.

Hopefully!  Yep, all dry as far as I can reach, gap in carpet I can feel down to the metal and all bone dry.  It's time for a new battery anyway I think.  I'll probably get the indy to replace it just for peace of mind as they have PIWIS - is the general consensus that they are just swap in/ swap out now though? (i.e. no coding/conditioning)

I can lend you a CTEK mate if you want to try that overnight?

Thanks for the offer Craig.. Lets see what tomorrow brings, I might take you up on it - will ping you on whatsapp maybe!

  4. BGTS not starting today.  Haven't been out in it for probably 2 weeks and it's outside in the Scottish cold.   I'm hopeful it isn't blocked drains and expensive like my 981S was.  Car has power, in that lights are. on, frunk opens and all internal stuff working OK.  Right hand binnacle has had 2 errors;

    - Low Battery 12V Socket Off
    - Low Battery Start Engine and run for extended period

Jump leads not helping at all.  I know the car is the age that it should have a new battery, so maybe it's just that.  Probably get it down to Indy tomorrow if I can get it booked in, but 1st will be the recovery mob to see if a heavy duty booster kicks it back into life.

Please don't let it be drain holes!) (nothing wet behind passenger seat, all seems perfectly dry)

Thank you!  One bizarre thing - I was out earlier in the dark looking at what other options it might have, and under the light of my phone the headlamp lenses are crazed - is that normal / fixable?  Will look at it in the daylight tomorrow

Quite common.  Mine are also like that.  Seems to be prevention is better than cure with some PPF or similar.  I've given up looking as I think it means new lenses

I love the fact that proper enthusiasts spot all of the details.  I have spent literally hours zooming in on car classifieds looking at Center console buttons for PSE!!!!

A good geeky one is that since you have PDLS/+ (upgraded headlights), you have headlamp washers which are activated by a small button on the bottom of the right hand stalk.  Do it at night and the spray over the lights is cool :)

  7. Oooh, that looks awesome. IMHO the best colour for a GTS, congratulations on the new car Rob.  What interior has it got? I'm guessing the alcantara GTS interior pack with the red stitching.

  8. I've got one of those aluminium look fuel filler caps, and the rubber tether thing is snapped.  Not that this is a real hardship, but would like it replaced - are these all the same for so I could get any VAG group equivalent?

  9. Very cool update @daz05 that makes a difference to the Cayenne for sure.  Generally what do you think of that over the X5 you had before? (maybe a post in the Cayenne section soon?!)

Will be interested to see the PCM 4 in the 981 for sure.   Soldering Iron doesn't put me off - although the dash software update in the Cayenne looked a bit scary!

Joyeauto and/or Isudar is pretty good for the PCM 3.1 but I'm with you that the screen and actual touch interface of a v4 unit would be very welcome

  10. Got an invite a few weeks back to a "Macan run out" from Glasgow OPC where we bought ours.  it was a really good day.  Loaned a 2022 GTS in Crayon for the day, and taken for lunch in a nearby eatery (on the coast in Largs close to Glasgow).    New model GTS very nice indeed!  it was pretty mad spec with Air Suspension, ACC, Burmester sound, Pano roof, and loads of other things.  The new interior switchgear which I'd not been a fan of in pictures is actually really nice, otherwise it's pretty much the same as our 2020 GTS.  Can't feel the new one with 444BHP being any quicker than our 380BHP one (but some say that it's not really detuned!)

Here's a few pics.  Really good day out, and totally making us think of placing a new deposit as another GTS is at least a year away!  Was good to meet others too - not just Macan owners, but general petrol heads and the good folks from OPC Glasgow. Lovely 992 GTS in Crayon too which we parked next to!

  11. Car in and out of Kwik-Fit this morning. No leaks detected in their diagnostic run through. Aircon now proper cold. Strange it lasted such a short period, but back to what it should be now at least (am I the only one who is a bit sceptical about using Kwik Fit.. ? it’s just very handy for me just down the road)

  12. I got some from Aliexpress for my now gone 981S.  They don't seem to be available on there now. What colour are your wheels? (as I still have quite dark grey ones like these if you are interested)

  13. Not related to original post, but vaguely similar - and advice would be good from others.  My Aircon just isn't cold anymore.  I had it recharged last November and it was icy cold then.. have Zunsport grilles on.. so I'm hoping that it isn't condenser(s).  Heading back to local KwikFit (who did It last Nov) on Tuesday to see what is what..

the soak test is to pour some water down said drain hole

Yes, like this - just pour a bit of water and it should come out like this.. (I always think it's a bit distributed looking here, but at least it's coming out!)
