It’s 67407838 if anyone knows.
They may have photos - I am seeing them tomorrow and my bill for the preventative maintenance is materially lower than I thought it was going to be.
Many thanks

Has anyone got a parking camera suggestion / recommendation / link that will work with the Mr12volt system?
also, i am finding the CarPlay audio for the Mr12volt sometimes doesn’t connect (CarPlay is working, but the CarPlay audio doesn’t play)
After cycling the ignition off and on, teh CarPlay audio plays without an issue.
anyone else experience this?
uh oh missed this comment in my research did it ever go away?
my Mr12volt is in transit -
Part number in this thread mentioned years back wasnt recognised - anyone got the part numbers to hand so I can call again tomorrow. The chap wanted to get home so I let him off doing an exhaustive search!!

Just going to leave this here

new valves do vary hugely in price - $40 from Alibaba to €260 from a german supplier

Another approach might be to cut a porthole in the exhaust pipe to get direct access to the flap from the inside and then weld it up afterwards.
I like this idea actually and to expand it you could make a jig - cut the pipe completely quite close and then reweld - it wont be a traditional bearing on the valve shaft , so I suspect it could be freed off if you could get to it....

Forgot to call the OPC today is the best place still for this [these] ?
There was a part number mentioned which I presume is a 'kit' ie both sides...TIA

If you’re not too fussed on the switching option you could find a non PSE exhaust and take it to Hayward and Scott and get them to do there bypass mod. It’s about £450, sounds awesome but more factory PSE sound that the top gear that I’m guessing you’re trying to change. There was a cheap pair of non PSE back boxes for sale on here last week.
I think this maybe a good option as PSE is quite tame in non sports mode but when you switched the sports button you would get the pops and bangs😎
There is a YouTube video of the exhaust mod and sound if search it.
so whilst its not switchable it would be almost as good? I'll look up the video...thx
I live in a fairly quiet village and there has been mutterings I am told ... 🙂 which is fair enough as not everyone wants to hear the pops and bangs - I maybe too hung up on the going back to 'stock' - whatever I have is just a tad on the hooligan side when in sport - I can of course do an extra button press and switch off the binoculars.... whilst still being in sport modeno mad rush - I just had a mad thought that I could fix an old PSE

Yes want to get my new car spot on…
-
The impossible I fear, thinking I could get a duff PSE with stuck valves and weld in new ones…
no one seems to have done it so it’s likely too hard…
-
So that might be 2 inch, can’t believe the valves are made exclusively for Porsche but I guess that’s possible
-
-
...and could measure the pipe outer diameter on the section that the valve sits in please? Appreciate its a curved pipe but looking to see if as I suspect its a standard size...
or if you happen to be a pub quiz genius and know this info ? that would be great
thanks in advance

Anyone thinking of going the Carplay/Android /satnav replacement route should perhaps consider the ERSIN ( ios & android ) system. Just seen an installation video on you tube and it is Plug&Play, looks to easy, all for £230 , and it worked !!
is your car a BOSE equipped one? Erisin doesnt have MOST interface as far as I am aware. I did test drive a car that had one installed and it looked pretty good actually - was in a non BOSE car... maybe a converter could be used?

Don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but a couple of years ago I did the same I joined Costco to be able to buy Michelins for my Boxster only to find that the ‘Individual membership’ that I bought didn’t allow me to buy tyres you had to buy a more expensive membership to allow car tyre purchases. So maybe you should check if your membership allows you to buy the tyres.
says so here
Tyres (costco.co.uk)
looks like you need the individual £33 one to buy tyres -

last time I was able to add the local shop and then attach the picture of the invoice.
This time no such luck.
did you check here?
MICHELIN car tyres -
do you mean the shop is not listed in the drop down?
where did you get yours from - its a long list and wasnt working for me first time I tried
-
New front tyres - Michelin Pilot sport 4 S's from Mr Tyre £468 with hopefully £40 cashback from Michelin
Car felt better on short drive home for certain - the old ones were very hard and had some deep cracking ...
still hunting the creaks 😞 but one is in the rood for deffo - so I will take the front metal strip and drop the roof lining to see whats going on... -
not affiliated but I find this site useful

I might try the Sport contacts when I need to replace all of them - but that might be a few years and by then a new winner?? -
@red rocket you should have messaged me so we didn't compete!!
That looks spot on Congrats - I saw a white cayman in Dovehouse and not a colourway I had even considered - but we both said that looks really clean/fresh and overall a great shade for the shape!
I had to have a 3.4, just a box to check. My blue one came up and bar the interior creaks p***ing me off - it has surpassed all my expectations. The PDK is sublime.
I have to say though I am concerned for my licence - gets to way more than the speed limit far too quickly!
Sport is ace for the downshifts ...Well done again !! you will love it...

Cleared gravel from the gearbox deflector tray thingy - and then saw the drivers drive shaft was a bit ropey looking so I rubbed it down and gave it a lick of paint
waxed and put the original plates back on ready for putting on AT/PH now it’s getting warmer
also found the selector that goes on the end shaft of the gearbox had some minor play, so removed the pointy bolt, cleaned and then installed again with loctite managed to take out the slack 🙂

Just been for a quick blast around in mine as it sunny here and no creaks or rattles in mine and I recently had the dashboard in bits😂
Are the noises more when the roof is up or down. I would have a look at the roll bar covers, check the wind deflector is seated properly and pop the bonnet check the plastic trim that covers the battery is all clipped in.
More when roof is up, and yes it’s down a lot but can’t always be so.
there’s a creak/pop in the roof I think above the roll bar, they also seem to be creaky. I’ll maybe do a video see if it picks it up. -

Passenger seatbelt buckle when not in use and not positioned high enough up the seat is a favourite one, hits the seats and makes an annoying noise.
Thanks - I have heard this one but both seats were occupied.
It’s more expansion crackles/creaks I guess.
looks like rain again so may have to have a look tomorrow
Tick tick boom!

Yes cos you could break that and get 2500 easy and so a replacement engine costs about 2500. Man maths at their finest
