Surprising how often CELs get triggered when you keep starting and stopping a cold engine, while moving a car around. Usually a misfire gets triggered but I wouldn't mind betting the car didn't go in the auction with the problem.

Thankfully. 🙏 Biggest PITA going.
Is it worth you throwing a fiver at the guy who gets full original specs for the cars on here?

I retro-fitted that to my last one. Load all your music on a USB stick and after pressing 'AUX' twice, you can scroll through your music and control the USB from the head unit.

Did I see a cruise control stalk in one of the pictures too? That car is more a case of what option boxes haven't been ticked, than those which have.

Stupidly high spec - though I think with the dash it's classed as full leather. Extended leather is just seats and door storage lids (IIRC). All it seems to be missing is a Black Edition badge, to be worth close to double what you paid.
I should have warned you about the anti-sniping inside 10 seconds. I've seen cars take an extra 5 minutes to sell because of it.
The memory seats work with the keys as well as the buttons on the door, so as soon as you unlock the car, the seat starts moving to the correct position for that key.

Cracking front brakes. So good, every Mk1 or Mk2 Escort which doesn't have Wilwoods fitted, has Princess calipers.

I think you should re-think the whole 'grey' thing.
The 356 had Polyantha Red which could be updated with a bit of metallic/pearl to really make it pop (I hate that phrase but it serves a purpose).

Thanks - how do you edit posts as some of my pics are not working as i linked them from the wrong album.......
I think you have 5 minutes to edit. As a moderator I can edit later.

@Araf - because of the forum’s edit rules could you tidy this thread up please?
Done - though you could have told me just to delete the first post. I changed all the links to pictures, then found the post below had already been done by Jake. 🙄 So I deleted his perfect post. I wasn't going to delete my amended one, after all that work.

Reject it. If the couriers have scratched it, that's because it hasn't been packed properly.

As a 550 owner..... ........It wasn't that much more than a regular S. Those who think it's like a GT3 are deluded but it is limited run and differentiated from other 986.
Exactly. In a similar vein, I have been looking at Black Editions more because of their general low mileages than their rarity.

I look on the Boxster 550 in the same way as the Cortina Crusader (same goes for a 987.1 SE or 987.2 Black Edition). An end of line model with the accessory book thrown at it, just to sell the last few cars before the new model is released. I'd have one, but I'd be comparing it against the newer replacement for value for money.
They're only limited by either the number of shells they need to sell, or how many they think the market can stand.- 1

I see that utter imbecile @EXY had replied to this thread.
I can not read what he as said as I have blocked all contact from him.
I find him an offensive racist.
You of all people should know this is a broad church. There's some on here who will snipe at you, at every opportunity so don't think that upsetting people is EXY's private domain. You've blocked him so that should be an end to it.

I still can't get past the fact that anyone reads the mail. Apart from the express it's the most unreliable paper out there according to surveys.
How dare you! Who else will tell us of the impending arctic blast and keep the memory of Princess Diana at the fore?

If it was full to the brim, was it over the max line? Presumably it wasn't like this normally? You might have another fault pushing the level up.
More likely someone fitted new brake pads and didn't check the fluid level afterwards.

My Porsche (MOLL) for the 987.2 was £250 around 5 years ago. A stop-start battery will be significantly more so I can see the pricing structure.
Don't Banner Batteries supply Porsche now? I know Banners are easier to buy from the likes of Tayna (£151 + shipping) and may save later hassle, if there is something electrical which happens to the car and needs diagnosing with Porsche.
-
I think I'll just leave it for now. The thread in electric cars covers all models.
As to where it belongs....
.... everywhere?

What state are the ABS rings in? If they are rusty, the sensor may not pick up the movement correctly.

Real Porsche caps have lasted me a few years. Fake caps have lasted a similar amount of time.
Some from China have come in 'Porsche' boxes with "Made in Italy" on the back of the caps. With Porsche caps around 4x the cost of Aston ones, I think Porsche are taking the mick, so spend my money on fakes now.- 2

I haven't used the handbrakes on my cars for a good few years now, unless they are parked on a steep hill. Manuals are left in 1st and autos/pdks are left in 'Park' which puts a transmission brake on.
A little embarrassing for you @Tarun but always best to be sure.
