I think you're right.  My instant reaction was to look at doing the 981 paddle wheel, but now having driven the car (albeit only once) I do like the controls on the steering wheel. I'll have a look at the 718 MF wheel - a black one would work I think?

I put the carbon multi function wheel on mine from the 718/991.2, really lifts the interior and gives it a modern feel.

A thread I started and shows a photo of the wheel after fitting.

There are a couple of issues to sort out before I go too mad with changes.  The HVAC display failed on the drive home so I'll be using the warranty to get that sorted out (hopefully, dealer hasn't replied yet).

That was the plate it came on - 'hello' YYY.  I'll be taking that off once the V5 arrives

Interesting . . . as a fan of remapping I may, after some acclimatisation, look into it.  I simply cannot understand why the torque curve Porsche show for these cars seems to suggest a limiting of torque between 2500rpm and 4000rpm.  My guess is its for emissions or something and a map can remove it.

Looks like a huge torque increase for a n/a engine. Mine only managed 10% extra after a whole day on the rolling road with a dedicated map written and modified three times.🤔

On the old 986/7 engines it was around there that variocam kicked in, not sure if that would affect the curve accordingly.

Well, 10% would be 37Nm so 43Nm is only 11% (based on the correct baseline figure).

I'm not sure that's it - 986/7 graphs always seem to look fairly straight without the dip

AET Motorsport, it's in the thread showing my steering wheel "I've decided to keep my 981s etc".

I was recommended to then by Russ at Revolution Porsche near Leeds.

At the time, they could only take a manual transmission car.

I'm very happy with that extra torque, doesn't look huge on paper but is very noticeable on the road.

Follow the u tube link.

Lovely looking Boxster inside and out, I like the steering wheel set up on the gear change, up & down on both sides rather than the paddle set up, and it's heated thats a bonus.

Guvs.

If it's heated I haven't found the button!

Porsche are renowned for not making things obvious, if you have a heated steering wheel, I think it was an expensive option,  the button is at the bottom on the back of the down spoke of the wheel out of sight.

I'm fairly new to the forum and have been asking the usual questions about specification etc whilst I waited for my 996 Turbo to sell.  Well, earlier this week a deal was done and yesterday I collected a 2012 Boxster S from Ashgood.  The weather yesterday was appalling and the M25 was just a storm of spray.  However, from my limited experience this is a worthy successor to the my previous Porsche.  I'm sure I will have loads more questions over the coming days as I get to go over the car in detail and get some driving done, but in the meantime here are a couple of collection day photos.
