lofi
I'm fairly new to the forum and have been asking the usual questions about specification etc whilst I waited for my 996 Turbo to sell. Well, earlier this week a deal was done and yesterday I collected a 2012 Boxster S from Ashgood. The weather yesterday was appalling and the M25 was just a storm of spray. However, from my limited experience this is a worthy successor to the my previous Porsche. I'm sure I will have loads more questions over the coming days as I get to go over the car in detail and get some driving done, but in the meantime here are a couple of collection day photos. antjrice
Fantastic! I've often wondered if a 981 is next for me as after 7 years of admiring them I still think they look so stunning.

mneil
Truly think the car would benefit from a 781/991.2 MF sports steering wheel😃. Check out the mod threads in the 981 forum. IMO would be the icing on the cake 👍.
RBD914 v2
Flappy paddles are usually preferred over buttons too!

My instant reaction was to look at doing the 981 paddle wheel, but now having driven the car (albeit only once) I do like the controls on the steering wheel. I'll have a look at the 718 MF wheel - a black one would work I think?
the baron
nice colour combo, I wonder if you'll miss the sheer straight line acceleration of the turbo, on the twisty stuff the boxster will definitely excel though.
martyn
Lovely colour choice, mind you it’s the same interior/exterior colours as mine!! I also have the same multi function steering wheel, I wouldn’t swap it either!

I'll do a little write up when I've had a bit more experience. My turbo was lightly remapped and was at just under 500bhp. It was savage in 1st and 2nd and in all other gears it was just relentless. But you need space. It was borderline licence loss silly on the motorway. I had it for 7 years and whilst I expect to miss the acceleration I believe the Boxster will have more plus points for my intended usage to more than make up for it. Snap - I'm gonna look at a paddle wheel but I did fit paddles to my turbo - used them rarely, though it did have less gears!

robporsche
Nice car, love the interior colour. I just fitted a cayenne wheel to my 981s as I had the same wheel as yours. Get the paddles and the multifunction. Fairly easy job to do.
