Verner
Was asked this question in the pub last night. I never really thought about it before to be honest. Anyone any ball-park figures? I know the extras added or not will change the final price but roughly what would it have cost? Best wishes from a Sunny North Yorkshire, Verner
Menoporsche
Early 40s, usually? Or was that 986s?
Davey P
I would love to find this out for mine as well, just for my own interest, so any information on how to look this up would be useful (2007 987 2.7 in my case).
ed80
There is a 2008 cayman price list here: https://www.porscheclubgb.com/legacy/clientftp/Register/996/misc/cayman/MY2008_Cayman_Price_List.pdf which may give you an idea
EVO Chris
2010 3.4s was £40.486 base price no extras. I have the original bill of receipt and spec sheet for my 2.9 2010 and it came to 41k from a 33.998 base price with all the extras. I can imagine there are a few 50k 987s models out there. Thanks for this. A very quick bit of maths says that my Cayman 2.7 would have been a little over £45k new. I paid 20% of this. I must the The Wife so she realises that it wasn't an expensive car after all! 🙂

Based on the list posted the other day I priced mine to be about 55k depending on how the “bundles” were priced “infotainment pack” type thing. frozen
bought mine in 2006 from memory - 3.2 S - with the full leather, cd changer, paint and a few bits added total cost was around 45k I think. would have liked satnav but balked at the ludicrous cost for it at the time - must have been about 5k for that - hence hardly any boxsters with it from that era. Menoporsche
People have been gouged on satnav for years.
red rocket
My 06 has satnav, phone and Bose. That cost probably explains why it lacks full leather and a sports wheel!
frozen
yup, phone was not cheap but necessary, bose was another pricey one - I misremebered satnav - but the other options may well be the reason there's no leather - or maybe it was a vegan owner ahead of their time 😉 so to check I just had a rummage in the library and pulled out my 2003 MY boxster price list! bose was 1018 (ouch!) satnav was 1610 (but sound upgrade and phone extra) - so all in would be 1610+376+523 = 2509 (without cd changer) porsche digital amp upgrade (which I had) was 376 (instead of bose) cd changer 344 telephone for pcm - 523 (not handset - that was extra) metallic paint 543 wind deflector 218 trip computer 182 full leather interior 1823 (or you could opt for seats and doors and other bits individually) PSM (which included ABS !) - 682 tiptronic was 1759 automatic aircon - 1284 and the base model cars were.... boxster - 31,450 boxster S - 38,150 how times (don't) change.... philw696
Mine in June 2005 3.2 S Tiptronic £38,719.78 Major options. Full leather Ocean blue £1,116.25 Tiptronic £1,758.98 Colour to sample £2,179.63 With the other options the total was £47,850.73 So nearly £10,000 of options thank you very much. Taken from the original purchase invoice in my history file.
