mikec1979
Hi all, Long time lurker, looking to buy my first 987. Eventually. I am going to look at a 2006 987 tomorrow, the 2.7. Car has been very well looked after, has the Carerra Sport wheels, Bose, wind deflector etc etc and the all important full Porsche service history. the thing that makes me a little reluctant is the 129k mileage. Would the mileage put anyone off parting with £6k ish for a car of this type? Thanks in advance.
Scubaregs
These cars take high mileages, as long as looked after of course. Is it full OPC history? One owner? Unusual for a 14 year old car to have full OPC history. Oh and welcome. Great people on here and a few numpties. The great people will be along shortly. 😉
red rocket
Not if the car is in good condition and has been well looked after. Plenty of people have run or are running high mileage Boxsters. Check the history (including recent MOTs) carefully and details of any work done, especially suspension and clutch which can be expensive. Good luck. mikec1979
Thanks guys. I don’t think it’s a 1 owner car but has been maintained directly by Porsche. I have seen the paperwork for that. I’m coming from Audi’s (TTS, couple of big bhp cars too) but have always wanted a Boxster. this one has popped up well in budget for me, enough so that I can put some money aside for toys haha. many suggestions on what to do first? Menoporsche
Carrera Sport wheels? Really? It's all about the history. 129k miles, it's run in, but has any suspension been replaced in recent years?
mikec1979
Yeah it has genuine Carerra Sport wheels on. history is fill up with Porsche directly. Unsure about the other components etc but the owner is an enthusiast. I believe he is a member on here.
