Ahhh yes I remember that little bracket when I replaced my shifter cables. Mine also had a slight amount of play and I do wonder if even new ones have some slight movement. A new piece is terrifyingly expensive at about £500 if I remember correctly.

Take it to your local engineering shop, soon knock a new bush up, so long as it’s the bush not the pin that’s worn
