Jon61
It looks fantastic; the world needs more yellow cars, even if it is Racing rather than Speed Yellow ๐... or is it called Harland & Wolff Yellow over there?ย ๐ I think coloured dials are a nice idea, but I agree that the warning lights spoil the effect somewhat. But the fact that the right-had 'dial' is a screen rather than a static dial spoils it even more (for me anyway - perhaps too adicted to symmetry). Anyway, a big thumbs up to yellow roll hoops & seat beltsย ย - evidently a person of impeccable tasteย ๐

Ninesomething
Edit - if you try to paint the wheels gloss black you have to have those carrera wheels which I think are fugly. Keep the satin.

I even got a little wave and flash from a guy in an Audi convertible It is just fantastic.....It has everything; goes like sh*t off a shovel, acceleration is blistering, comfortable and so planted. I know black and yellow isn't everyone's cuppa, but I think it really works, makes the car feel and look more like a sports car (I used to have the 981 GTS in Agate and that fell more like a GT)....All just head trickery I guess. I went for the 10mm lowered rather than the standard 20mm as I have a steep driveaway and it even then I still scraped the mud-flaps on the the way out (no problem going up). Shiny black calipers, front and rear, door handles, yellow dials, seat belts The only thing I'm not keen on is the dials, I got them in yellow but all the warning lights etc are visible on the dials, it makes it look more 'racy' but it all a bit too busy for me. I also went for the black headlights to give it the more 'insecty' look and totally forgot that the running lights are on all the time. So when the car's in motion I'm missing a bit of the effect I was going for, hardly a big deal. I placed my first deposit in June 2021, finalised the spec mid Nov 2021, I managed to place the final order the day before the prices went up, so the dealership honoured the price with no quibbles. I did have to pay an extra ยฃ105 as the road tax has gone up in the meantime. I'll sort out some photos and post them in the next few days ย Lovely spec, Iโm envious! The GTS is just superb in any colour in my opinion but even better in the brighter colours. Black wheels are the best! Wishing you health to enjoy!

Menoporsche
Itโs early for a car still under warranty but I hugely recommend body colour brake calipers. Fantastic effect with the black wheels.ย
TheUnderfiend
When I was doing the configuration I was looking for yellow for the calipers, but the option wasn't there....after the event I wondered why I didn't just ask when I was placing the order (in hindsight there are a couple of things I should have done at the time e.g. headlight washers) I am planning on this one being a keeper so ,you're right, it's definitely something for the future. ย
Menoporsche
For Porsche, yellow calipers signify ceramic brakes so the option would have been very expensive! You might find someone with a steady hand willing to paint them in situ, rather than dismantling.ย
TheUnderfiend
Ah right, I was wondering why I had seen them on other cars but didn't have the option in the configurator. ย There's a specialist performance car workshop not too far from me (McMillians) I'll ask them next time I'm passing. Menoporsche
Think Iโve seen some here; wheel off, lots of newspaper and masking tape, and a rattle can of yellow paint ย They might not look perfect close up, but what kind of person looks close up at brake calipers?! Menoporsche
๐คฃ I meant close up, to examine the quality of the finish.ย Mine were done well because the whole system was overhauled at the same time. GT3 master cylinder, braided hoses, caliper service etc. Otherwise a good rattle can would suffice. They soon get covered in brake dust anyway.ย

jhemus
Has anyone been given an allocation in recent months? Iโm coming up to the anniversary of placing my order in August and no firm news as it stands. I have fixed a call with the OPC for next Monday to see what the latest status is.
