moospeed
Good going, mine isn't too much different to my wife's 1.2 Qashqai. Then again, she drives it like a hooligan.

Or maybe the superior aerodynamics of the Cayman makes it more efficient than a Boxster. Yes, that's it, the superior aerodynamics must be the correct answer 😂 2

½cwt
They are both quoted at the same Cd, 0.30 for 987/987C and 0.29 for 981/981C. Roof up obviously.... Edited April 18, 2023 by ½cwt

cozzykim
My 987.2 was, on average, similar to the average that my missus gets from her A Class 1.5 'Blue Efficiency' 😏 at around 33mpg I'm hoping that the 981 will do better, especially on a European trip run. Madlil
I can't get a MPG readout on the trip screen - does this need to be selected on the main head unit, as I can't seem to do it using the stalk? I have a Kenwood aftermarket screen so can't access any of the car menus on there (I don't think!). Edited April 20, 2023 by Madlil

Yes I suspect you lost the integration on some display features with an aftermarket head unit installed.

I can still see MPG in the info section using the stalk so not a major issue. I also don't want to really worry about MPG, not what I bought the car for, but can understand why some might monitor it especially if it is a daily driver. The 981 is pretty frugal with the coasting mode....

GTSMarky
The lowest I saw was 10... On track & I think that's the lowest it reads so could have been less. Driven 'normally' with traffic these cars are fine on consumption. My daily which is a 2.0 Turbo petrol averages 38mpg.

I agree, but if we do use them as a daily it helps that the fuel consumption can be OK.
