At the time I had a old 2003 Golf V5 2.3 (don't judge!) having had pretty much every performance car from the 90's you could shake a stick at. 14 years ago I was at the stage where I was not so bothered about fast cars as had the litre sports bike for going fast.
We were having a conversation at work about what was an acceptable 2 seater convertible to own and of course whittled it down and one of the answers was the Boxster. This was on a Tuesday and I was on rest days on the Weds and Thursday, came back to work on Friday with my 986S.
I had looked on Auto Trader the Tuesday night, contacted a localish one (30 miles away) and arranged to go look at it the Weds morning. Knew nothing about them, had done zero research, went for a test drive and loved it. Asked the guy why he was selling it, he was a self employed photographer, work had dropped off etc etc so he needed to sell it. Seeing an opportunity I asked him what he was going to do for a replacement and long story short I sold him the Golf and he sold me the Boxster.
I actually took the Boxster home that day and popped back up the following day with the V5 etc for the Golf!I was lucky, it turned out to be a good car and cost me very little, it had 75,000 miles on when I bought it and 110,000 when I sold it some years later.

53 is the wrong plate. I once saw a car like that on the wrong plate when looking for one. Passed over it in the end.
Its a private plate

One at my way, well apparently it sa "Boxter"... a mere £12.5k with over 140,000 miles on it

On a 17 year old car? Not really. Especially as a lot of people have these as a 2nd / weekend car
I would be more focussed on the service history / MOT history etc

Indie managed to break off a bit whilst trying to remove a seized coffin arm bolt...!!!!
Surely they should be paying for a brand new replacement one then

i was vaguely looking for a 987.2 and this caught my eye.
Only a cat N due to small dent on rear bumper and rear panel (hard to see in pics) MOT history is all good apart from it needed a power steering rack on the most recent one.Not the biggest spec in the world but a great price for a 36k miles car.
I decided I don't do enough miles to justify the outlay otherwise I would have been all over it.

As the others have said, way overpriced and an issue with the retun on the gear lever.... walk away, there are much better cars at much less money.

I’ve now had her running for around an hour, switched her off, but is dead again. I’ve now put it on charge and the unit indicates it is at least, charging.
What would that flashing red light on the temp gauge indicate, baring in mind the actual running temp is steady at 80 ?Cheers, Nick.
Sounds like your alternator is goosed.

I am along the coast near Brighton and my car is a daily. I have never bothered with Winter tyres. Just does not warrant it this far south to me.

Even lower mileage on this poverty spec Boxster, wonder what this will go for 😮

I'm impressed that apparently it's survived more than 10 years in that converted state. Many highly tuned conversions seem to be constant headaches and problem fixing, and then just fizzle out.
Why did I think of @Escy when I read that! 😮

I am interested to know where they have put the intercooler as a turbo that size would need a decent size intercooler, ideally with Water Injection as well.
