Checked the drain channels are clear and treated it to a new key ring. Still waiting for the new centre caps to turn up...which is annoying as I am off work for a week now and sent them here thinking they would have arrived by now

Auto Trader. An example below.
2010 Red Porsche Boxster 3.4 987 S 2dr for sale for £15,995 in Reading, Berkshire (autotrader.co.uk)
As said, you can list your car for whatever you want, but listing it and selling it are 2 different things.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.- 1

Remember you need at least 10mm of plate beyond the letters to comply with the regulations though.
-
What people list things for is not always what they sell for though
Advertise it for sale at a price you want, if it does not sell then you need to drop the price. The problem you have is there are a few 987.2 3.4 for sale around £16-£18k which is a better bet than your 987.1 ( cheaper road tax, no risk of bore score, etc etc)

So yesterdays jobs were.... I have adjusted the roof elastic on both sides by one notch which has cured that problem. Although when I did that on a previous Boxster it lasted a week before it snapped and I had to sew new button elastic in. That said, I still have a load of that elastic left over so I am prepared in case it happens again!
The touch up paint I ordered arrived and touched in the small scrape on the passenger mirror edge and the little bit of paint missing of the edge of the drivers door. Bit of compound on the headlight lenses and they came up lovely as well.
Disappointed that I did not discover any more optional extras yesterday 🤣
Although the Nankangs were fine in the rain... maybe its down to the limited slip diff 😄

I’m a big fan of lighter weight wheels for optimum unsprung mass & driving dynamics. There are lots of different wheel options on 987.
Does anyone know which are the lightest?
Carbon Fibre
Had CF wheels on my bike... incredible stuff and reassuringly expensive at £3,000 for the pair lol

I know.. I have decided to at least keep it a few months till warmer weather and decide then. As tempting as it is to flip it, it is a lovely drive and I do not think I would ever find another one with this sort of spec.
The Alfa is still in Ashford, I left it there when I picked up the Boxster. Going up on Sunday morning to retrieve it.
It has been on Marketplace 3 days and I have 3 people that want to come and view it. All sensible enquiries, no "whats the lowest you will take" messages.
I have told them its back Sunday so hopefully it will sell then. I put it up for £1,299 and to be fair its worth all of that I think.

This morning I realised just how much I have missed the noise of a flat 6 with PSE (what's PSE? 🤣) on the way to work.
I have also noticed that on mine the slats in the front bumper and the lower arm on the mirrors are the same colour as the side vents. I would imagine it was probably another thing that was done on the order. Looks pretty good I think.
cr*p pic as its raining and I cba to go outside to take it!

In the auction pics, there is one with it on tickover and no CEL light in that.
Mileage was the same as that photo when I picked it up so you could well be right. The way it drives I do not think theres a problem

Just googled that, indeed the LSD is a rare option to have!
The CEL did not bother me too much, the car drove perfectly and the code has not come back. If the Cam position sensor does need changing its not a disaster
I saw one the other day where the clocks were Red!

Is it worth you throwing a fiver at the guy who gets full original specs for the cars on here?
Already done and on the thread... the list included rear wiper delete which was a relief

Do you think it may have been a dealer demo car first, hence all the options?
So far... no Tyre Pressure monitor. 😆

Or with a genuine apple 30 pin to lightning adapter you can hook up a modern iPhone "directly" - I have tried both setups and settled on the direct wire method - but not a lot in it.
I thought I was doing well in the options stakes - but so far you have me with PASM, Memory Seats and Heated Steering wheel - although I am looking at a retrofit for that at some stage.
Have you found launch control yet ?
I have read up on launch control in the manual, I don't think I will be testing it out anytime soon.
I did have launch control on my R1M as well..which was massively entertaining
I will leave the tyres as is and wear them out, I can put Sport + on and then the car can go a lot more sideways as well 😆

Good shout on the USB etc guys.
So I gave it a quick wash at lunchtime. It really is a cracking car, minimal stone chips on the front.
I think it will benefit from a good clay bar session, I am off work next week so we will see. At least the 5 spokes are easier to clean than the Sport Design wheels I had on the last one!
Couple of money shots.

Yes indeed, it has cruise... Front and rear of centre console being body coloured looks good too I think Has a USB / Ipod connector in centre arm rest as well.
So glad you posted that link @Araf !

What codes did it report ?
Cam position sensor left bank. I have cleared it and its not come straight back so we will see how it goes.
There has been no issues with its driving so fingers crossed.
All of the small marks that were photographed on the auction have come out with a bit of compound apart from one.
Notice on the spec that @T911UK has posted for me it have Xenon plus dynamic cornering lights... I called them Litronic in error 😅I have ordered new Crested centre caps and I need to adjust the roof elastic both sides and give it a proper clean and decent wax and it should come up fab.
Yeah I am not gonna junk the tyres, will quite happily run with those. Still tempted to list it for £22/£23k and see what happens but then I would be sad if it sold lol

So through reading the Owners manual last night, I discovered another optional extra that is available. So this morning felt behind the bottom of the steering wheel and sure enough....
Of course it has a heated steering wheel!
I have cleared the codes and will look them up in a bit and report back , it has not come back yet though.
Interesting tyre combo, Pirelli P Zero fronts and Nankang rears 😁Quick picture of it as it sits. In normal daylight it is excellent, couple of tiny scratches which should touch in but apart from that it is damn good.

Ahh yes, the top of the doors are leather as well. I think they hit pretty much every option apart form air conditioned seats!
Being black I can use the expensive Nattys polish and Poorboys black hole left over from the Alfa to make it gleam.
Lovely drive though, no rattles or creaks and no wind noise on the motorway with the windows up.

Had a look at the cable in the centre console and it already has a 30 pin / iPhone adaptor fitted. Only thing is when I put my phone in it, and click iPod on the PCM display it says no iPod detected.
Technology is not my strong suit mind
