khushy
Just checking in - have a 2010 Boxster Spyder that I have owned since 700 miles old (2011) - now done 95,000 (ninety five thousand) - it's an awesome weapon! Now dealing with it's first and only ever issue - a stuck PSE actuator linkage (seized) - which I have now almost removed - new part ordered and will be sorted next week. Porsche don't sell an actuator only either the PSE kit (£1500) or a whole exhaust (£3000) but I managed to find a part number and also I found an actuator specialist too if the Porsche part does not work - so for around £100 it will be sorted. Other than that I LOVE IT!!!

Jason986S
That's some great mileage, and great that you've not just bubble wrapped It all its life. I drove a 2010 spyder when shopping for my Boxster, loved it.

khushy
so - the 997 PSE actuator arrived this morning - it's EXACTLY the same part as on the Spyder - so instead of £1500 - it's cost me £100 :-) happy days!

Patt
one of mine was damaged on my 986 system - I never thought to track down the component - just removed the vacuum pipes and had the valves welded to always open Cost me £

Menoporsche
I'll ask. How did you put such mileage on it in a comparatively short time? The usual answer is either something to do with sales, or you live in Land's End and have a girlfriend in John O'Groats... Just nosey. (And jealous, I put less than 3k pa on mine and that's forcing myself to drive it to work once a week.)
khushy
used to work in recruitment where my main clients were in London - so every week 1-2 trips into the big smoke interviewing (I hate trains) and then also lots of trips to South Wales (once or twice a week) to play at being a Velodrome cyclist = big mileage BUT - every single mile, a smile AND you can get two bikes in it too :-) - now living the quiet country life, making custom bicycle parts and only driving 2,000 miles in the last 12 months :-) #happydays
