Patrick Bateman
I've just bought a 987 and really fancy getting cruise on it. I'm told you can buy kits ready to go that just need fitting but struggling to find anything. Are there known sellers of these?
Menoporsche
I thought it was just the stalk and a bit of coding?
Patrick Bateman
Is there not a different housing to go on the steering column too? In any case, exactly what parts and where to buy them would be handy.
spyderman8
Had it added to my 986 (by Russ at Revolution) and its one of the best things I've had done. Does require coding.
Richard Hamilton
The kit (from Porsche, part no: 997.044.903.00) is £390 inc VAT, and consists of the cruise stalk, a small wiring loom, the lower column cover (in black plastic), a new steering wheel nut, and a couple of torx screws. Time was when you could buy all the parts separately for about £100, but that loophole got plugged some time ago. The only cheap way of doing it now is to find a used stalk, but sellers generally know the value of them. After fitting, it needs coding in the DME, Instrument Cluster, and Steering Column module,

Patrick Bateman
Thanks for that, much pricier than I was hoping for sadly considering there'll be labour on top of that.

Patrick Bateman
Ouch, not sure if it's worth it at that. Will have to see how me foot feels after a while!

It is dead easy to fit yourself and then just get coded. Took me 15 minutes to fit mine.
Tony Daniel
I had major problems with a second hand stalk (bought of a BoXa.net member), my advise is go to Revolution and get a new one fitted. It would have saved me a lot of time money and effort. Revolution Porsche I think Russ charges £399 fitted.
Patrick Bateman
That's not bad but far away so it doesn't make sense. SP Autobahn is probably my nearest specialist.

Tony Daniel
There is always the option of ringing your local Porsche centre, they will sometimes try and price match.

ndjfb00
I put cruise on my 987 for just under £200, in May this year, i bought a 4 stalk boss off eBay (boxabits) paid £40 fot the cowling from Porsche direct, and that kind gentleman Mr Hammond coded it for me. With the unwanted 3 stalk boss i got £40 back from ebay, simples
